Curly Girl, the Handbook

Given to a curly haired 16 year old grand daughter for a Christmas present. Said she read the whole thing that day. Was very interested in how to determine ones own curl type.

This book likened beyonce's hair to that of a "poodle" and claims that one of the BASIC CHARACTERISTICS of black womens hair is having TRACTION ALOPECIA due to WEAVES!They also describe other textures as "as delicate as a gold leaf" while black women's hair is "sensitive to heavy handling".IT also supplies no useful information about black hair... ... but then again what can you expect from a book who claims that black women all have "receding hairlines".
