It works!
Works as described, color coding on the wires isn't intuitive, make sure you read the included instructions

Deceived and disappointed
It did not meet my expectations . The USB end, housing, is not secure at all. The RS232 end was not as it was described. The JST connector was smaller and thinner than expected. I a not sure if the pin layout is the same end to end.

Works perfectly.
Does what it says on the tin... if you have an embedded device with a 3.3V UART coming to 100-mil headers, this cable will connect to it. Easy.

Pins not labeled
This worked painlessly on a Linux host. I ordered it mainly because I wanted a USB TTL with a long cable length, and six feet for me has turned out to be perfect. The two things that I'm unhappy about this item are that the pins aren't labeled (big no-no in my book), and that the termination is a single female header instead of one female per line.

OK, but not confident in the product.
serial number is not correct. When using multiple serial cables, this causes confusion and compatibility issues. Feels like a rip-off product. I recommend you buy the real FTDI device instead. Also, no markings on device to know if this is a 3V or 5V version. Not a lot of confidence in what I received.

Reliable and Convenient USB to TTL Serial Adapter
I’ve been using the DTECH USB to TTL Serial Cable with the genuine FT232RL chip for my electronics debugging and development projects, and it has exceeded my expectations. The cable’s compatibility across multiple operating systems, including Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Linux, and Mac OS, made setup effortless— no driver headaches or compatibility issues. The 6-pin Dupont female header with 3.3V logic level signals perfectly fits my UART communication needs, letting me easily connect to various microcontrollers and serial devices. The build quality feels solid, and the length provides enough flexibility without excess tangling. What I particularly appreciate is the genuine FTDI chipset inside, which is known for its stable drivers and reliable USB-to-serial conversion performance. This means smooth data transmission without random disconnects or high CPU usage, unlike some cheaper alternatives. The cable is truly plug-and-play on most systems, saving me time during setup and debugging. Overall, it’s a great, affordable tool for anyone working with serial communication, whether you're a hobbyist or a professional. I’d definitely recommend the DTECH USB to TTL Serial Cable for stable and hassle-free serial connections.

nice
its quite a chore trying to solder something together to connect your board to the pc. This works perfect.

Faulty
Cable refuses to be recognized by my devices. After installing drivers from 2 different sites and trying two different boards, I finally gave up. Consider looking elsewhere if you need this for small projects
