My years old Merrell pair were wearing out. I read about these on Wirecutter, so I ordered. What an amazing difference in feel and comfort. Those old ones went out in the trash.

My podiatrist recommended I get some stability running shoes and recommend this model by name. During my first 3 mile run my bad ankle felt great, but my good ankle was in a supinated position and ended up straining my left hip. Now I'm talking to a PT about possible IT band or Buritis treatment because the shoe put my good ankle in such a compromised running position it caused other issues. Shoes seemed durable, were very stable and stiff, and the sale price was great. The injury that I sustained running in them 4 weeks ago still hasn't let up and I encourage every runner to reconsider. No hip pain before the shoes, and now the hip pain won't go away.

I bought these to replace my Redeemers as suggested since the Redeemer was discontinued. This shoe is entirely too soft with support only in the center of the shoe. It feels like you’re only getting support on the arch and nothing on the heel and ball of your foot. Such a backward feeling shoe. Besides the terrible ride of the shoe, the foam feels like the quality of a cheap Croc knockoff. Clearly this shoe is evolving backwards to save cost but at the sacrifice of quality. Too bad, the Redeemer was a great shoe. This one is not.
