Great little router with innovative design
Great little router with innovative design. I needed another wifi router for our sons room as he was commenting on loss of wifi signal in there. Currently there is a gigabit ethernet cable in the room for his games machine so I thought I'd rig up an AP in the room. This was done easily by following the instructions and all was well. There is now great wifi around his room plus he has a router with a couple of gigabit lans available for his games machine plus another. The design is also great as it can be set up as a normal router, stood up with is own stand, or (and my favourite) disguised as a picture frame to blend in to the room very easily. Much better than the spider or ufo designs currently on the market. These are just plain ugly, you end up putting them out of the way which usually means poor signal strength. Functionality wise it works very well as most of the heavywork is done by the main router and this just concentrated on wifi and lan tasks. The only downside of this machine I've seen so far is although it says it has openwrt firmware it isn't the officially supported version, just their own modified hack. Therefore if your looking for router that runs vanilla Openwrt, you'll either need to look elsewhere or wait to see if it gets accepted into the project. There is some development work underway so fingers crossed 🤞 it gets included in the 25.... release. Update Just read on the OpenWRT forum, abs this model is going to be included in the 25.xx release. 5 stars!!! A development version is available to try now if you need it. Then when version 25 is released you should be able to update straight away.

Great router that is perfect as an access point to extend your network
My previous access point had started to play up causing various network issues. So already having a Gl.Inet Flint router which has been brilliant, I decided to get another router from Gl.Inet. This router is easy to setup and the wireless range is excellent. I get great speeds and being hidden as a photo frame is a real bonus. It’s been running for over a month now and has been faultless, not needing to reset and devices consistently connect to it. Definitely recommended

More than capable but breaks the tech-look mould.
Usual good stuff from this manufacturer. I only needed an access point but this router is keenly priced, flexible and looked very interesting. Great idea for different mounting options and unusual to actually consider the aesthetics but it is all well done. - I have not made use of these features yet though. Plenty of features and a choice of app or web interface to set up. I prefer the plain web set up. Connects well and is fast enough for my use. My main router is made by this company though re-badged and that is also good. I have previously bought a couple of their tiny travel routers - mostly to play with/learn from. Everything is good. I don't see why this brand is not mentioned a lot more in tests and reviews.

Smart design
Item received in good condition in a nice branded box. This is a great option for a Wi-Fi extender for my house especially as we tend to loose Wi-Fi towards the rear of our property and this allows for a smart solution and a very clever design aspect so that you can hide the router in plain sight. This is very smart and simple to set up and only requires only a plug socket for power and we have it sat on a console table plugged in and have used the photo frame and you would just never know that it really is a router. The look of it as a photo frame is really quite smart. I am not a big tech person but I know enough to get by. From a tech point of view for my needs and requirements this is more than enough and has plenty of options and different ways you can use this. I have set it as a Wi-Fi extender to give better coverage in a weak area of our house and it is working just fine.

Easy to use, provides flexible use-cases. (Private anonymous guest wifi via VPN)
The GL.iNet Marble (GL-B3000) is a significant upgrade from the Mango, offering reliable performance and powerful features, particularly for secure guest network management. Core Benefit: VPN-Enforced Guest Wi-Fi For anyone providing Wi-Fi to guests (visitors, Airbnb users, contractors), securing your network is paramount. The Marble allows you to enforce a VPN connection exclusively for a dedicated guest SSID. This setup offers crucial benefits: IP Masking: Guest activity does not reveal your home's external IP address. Anonymity: Guest internet usage is not directly tied to your household. Network Isolation: Guests are completely segmented from your main primary network, preventing access to your personal devices or IoT ecosystem. Technical Setup for Enforced VPN Guest SSID: VPN Configuration: Import your preferred VPN configuration (e.g., a "Secure Core" configuration from ProtonVPN's website) into your GL.iNet router. Guest SSID Creation: Configure a separate Guest SSID. VPN Policy Rule: In the GL.iNet GUI (often under VPN or Multi-WAN settings), set a policy rule to route traffic from the Guest SSID (or its associated VLAN) only through the VPN interface. Advanced Firewall Enforcement (LuCI): For enhanced security, ensure the guest Wi-Fi only functions when the VPN is active. Access the router's advanced LuCI interface: Navigate to Network > Firewall > Zones. Locate the "Guest" zone. Edit the Guest zone, and under "Covered networks", ensure that your main WAN interface is unchecked. Only your VPN interface(s) (e.g., VPN_Client, Wireguard_Client, tun0, wg0) should remain selected. Click "Save & Apply". Reboot the GL.iNet router. This configuration ensures the guest Wi-Fi will have no internet access if the VPN connection drops, maintaining privacy and security. Your main GL.iNet SSID will continue to operate directly via your plain internet connection. Enhanced Guest Experience: To facilitate easy and secure guest access, I export the guest Wi-Fi details (SSID, password) to a QR code using my Samsung smartphone and printed it. For added convenience, an NFC tag programmed with the Wi-Fi details can be stuck on the underside of the printout, allowing guests to simply scan or tap to connect to this secure, private, and anonymous network. This ensures their online activities remain separate and do not influence your personal Browse profiles or expose your home network. The price is very reasonable for the value it provides. It is larger than their travel routers, but this is not really the kind of device you would travel with. You can do everything I mentioned with their other travel routers also!

Excellent router, well constructed, easy set up
Excellent router, well constructed, easy set up. Really pleased with the performance and for the money is a no brainer for a fully featured router with lots of GL-inet features built in.

Excellent little router. Needed something versatile to allow for access points/router/ethernet modes and this delivered comfortably. Coming from an old but reliable TP-Link I am also surprised of all the features and configurability it has. The range is decent (better than the Orange Livebox's at home). I will certainly buy from GL.iNet again.

Gone are the days of simplistic, weak CPU routers from 2 decades ago. This GL.iNet device has all the 2025 robust features of modern devices, and 100x speeds from previously, on the wireless. However, on the VPN, appears to cap out at 12 Mbps even if you have a 25, 50 or 100 Mbps broadband.
