Clawsable Cooling Cat House for Outdoor/Indoor Cats, Waterproof & Weatherproof Feral Cat House Outdoor for Summer, Elevated Insulated Outside Feral Cat Shelter for Stray Barn (Blue, 17" x 13" x 16")

I was anxiously awaiting this product after talking with Clawsable after purchasing their heated outdoor cat house for my feral kitty. I live in Arizona where it can get extremely hot during the four months of the summer (June to September) with well over 110 degree temps. I set up the cat house yesterday and place a cooling mat that I purchased from Green Pet Shop on the floor of the cat house. I also purchased two gel filled ice packs from Kona to place in the cooling area on the top. I appreciate that they provided one with the box, but Arizona required a bit more "oomph" given the extreme temps. I place the box on the back porch area nearest the house since it is the farthest from the sun. I will return with more info once the temps keep climbing and she gets used to its being there-- and figures out it is a cooling spot. My only suggestion would be to make the next edition able to be cleaned out easily, like the heated version. There should be a way to open it up more to make this easier, although this is just a suggestion. I can stick my hand through the entryway hole with a rag, just cannot see what I am doing very well. it's been so hot this summer and i wanted to find a way to help the outdoor cat that adopted us. sadly, the inside got super wet from condensation--i'm talking puddles. the cat wouldn't go in it. i think this might work well in a dry heat but not in hot and humid.

First impressions were that packaging looked a little rough and that the legs for the house looked a bit used, but looks aside, this house works well and our girls love it. We live in an area that ranges from 90-110 for the summers and it’s definitely helping them keep cool. Our cats are pretty big, so only one kitty fits comfortably per house. Since the girls love it so much, I went ahead and ordered another one.

After I placed an ice it created condensate and hall house inside was with water. So the house is quality good but just for using as a regular cats house not for cooling purpose.
