Excellent Features
This VEVOR NLF64-5280 Incubator for Hatching, Automatic Turner with Temperature and Humidity Control seems sturdy enough to get the job done. There is adequate air circulation with an even distribution of humidity and temperature which is very important in all aspects of incubation. This incubator is supplied with power cables that operate with DC power, and also a second set that operatives with AC power, which is a nice touch. I am also impressed by the candler that is present to allow me to make sure my chick is growing inside the egg. There is a concern in my contemplation and examination of this incubator on what will happen to the chick when it hatches and the rollers’ effects on the chick. I intend to turn off the automatic egg turners two- three days before hatching through calculations based on when I place the fertilized egg in the incubator. With the current world status and economy I am going to store this incubator as part of my prepping. This would be a valuable tool in my emergency food supplies if I had to live off the grid. The price of this incubator cannot be beat. It is a great value for all you get.

the 30 day window will close before you can get information on how this per
It didn’t hold its temperature and the automatic egg turning feature broke after two weeks - No amount of fiddling around with it could make it work again, Of 12 eggs that we set only three hatched and they were really good eggs because we put Some of the same eggs in a Hovabator and got 90% + success. Maybe we just got a bad one that happens sometimes.

Not high quality materials, questionable design - NOT recommended.
I am a country fella, born and bred, and I have been around the chicken aspect of farm'n all of my life. My Grand-dad operated an HUGE chicken farm with several thousand chickens. My dad though that it would be a great idea if his children became intimately acquainted with the birds as well. Subsequently, every Spring we incubated and brooded 300 chickens in our basement. We then processed them every fall, keeping back 50 hens and 1 rooster through the winter for eggs. All of that to say, I know a thing or two regarding the entire chicken lifespan. This incubator is made of extremely lightweight plastic, has rollers that turn the eggs, and, of course, heat lamps to maintain the temperature. Now I haven't yet attempted to employ this set-up, so I am simply describing what I see, and comparing it with what I know. When these chicks start pop'n through their shells after about 21 days on their little incubator rotisserie, what is it that is going to keep them from becoming tumble dried as a result of the egg turning mechanism?!?! It seems to me that somebody will need to be present 24/7 during the termination of incubation ion order to retrieve the chicks, transfer them into the brooder, and remove the shells that will inevitably be ground up by those roller rods. My Grandies are enthusiastically begging to get this project rolling (pun intended) in order to experience, first hand, the JOY (NOT) of chicken farm'n 101. Stay tuned for updates :)

Basic Incubator with Some Flaws
This incubator does a decent job of maintaining temperature and humidity, and I appreciate that I can check inside without opening the lid. However, the automatic egg-turning function didn’t work properly, which was disappointing. I had to manually rotate the eggs, which defeats part of the convenience. While it’s fine for a budget option or a one-time use, I wouldn’t rely on it for serious hatching projects.

Would be a great home education opportunity
Update: works fantastic! Turkey eggs started hatching this morning. Was so excited to see on the camera this morning. Awesome experience for adults and kiddos. Relatively easy to use, set. And let it go do it's job. This review is for the Vector store NLF64-5280 Incubator for Hatching. I got this for a home education experience we hope to do this summer. Have been holding off on reviewing, but decided I better do now, before it's too late, update later if we can get eggs as planned. This seems like a great incubator. I like how compact it is. Can go up to 12 eggs. Seems quiet. Has roller bars to rotate eggs, distribute heat, hopefully increase chance for successful hatching. I particularly like this has an egg candler. Which is a way to kind of "see" what's going on inside. Years ago we found an egg while hiking. Seemed to be abandoned randomly near the trail. This would've been interesting to "see" inside. Started my desire to someday incubate an egg, experience a hatching. This smaller incubator seems a great way to prepare this goal into becoming a reality.

DC power option!
This 12 egg incubator is all that is needed for most backyard flocks or classrooms. If you have never hatched chickens before, you want to stop rotating them three days before they are due to hatch. The incubator holds temperature, and I simply remove the rollers when it's getting close for them to pip, so they have room to move safely once hatched. I wanted this unit specifically for it's ability to run off battery if needed. I once had a three day power outage in the middle of a hatch and had to discard them all. With this one, I can use the wall outlet, or run it off battery and not have to worry about power interruptions, or depend on a broody hen.

Cheap materials
Looks like the chicks would get stuck in the rollers after hatching. Not safe.
