It's Really Good! It doesn't taste like the Original But Thats expected. The Spice Level As someone with Low Spice Tolerance It's Very good level not to spicy where Your eyes will water and you can't breathe. A little runny Nose But still get the kick that's about it and About halfway through the Cup I had to take a break buts that's Just me. The portion size Looks Small at First But once your start eating it's actually a really good amount Dispite how it may look. The Rice Cakes are Small but Thick but Still Good. it only takes 3 to make Easy to make and.

I was equally excited and nervous about trying these because of the reviews I’d read about them. I understand why some people wouldn’t like them.- they’re spicy, and they have an unusual texture if you’re not used to it. But they are delicious and not too spicy at all if you’re used to some spice. The texture is like any good dumpling from anywhere in the world; chewy, dense, and filling. Korean soul food! I think dumplings should be considered an absolute go to as a late night snack or as breakfast because they really hold you until the next meal. I highly recommend this for people who wants some thing that sticks to your ribs and opens up your nasal passages! It’s tangy and hot, but not the point of discomfort. It is very hard to know how much water to put in the cup though so you might wanna measure it with a measuring cup instead. Don’t hesitate to order these if you like hot and sour soup and other kinds of rice, noodles or dumplings, you won’t be disappointed!

I love this sweet mild spicy flavor. Got a couple other flavors too and this one is my favorite. Some teokkbokki brands are super spicy and I need to drink milk with them, but this one has a kick without being excessive. Lovely flavor and the rice cakes are like mini and adorable. Pleasant mouth feel, microwave instructions work well.

For the size of the cup, I expected the to be completely filled. But when I open the packet it only it filled to quarter cup. The photos are very misleading because you think you're getting a large portion and that's not the case. It's a waste of money in my opinion. It taste pretty okay, but it's not the best thing I've tasted. The flavor is sweet but it runs a little flat after a while. I don't think I would be purchasing this brand again mainly because of the portion. I'll need to check out the others to ensure I get my money worth.

I LOVED this. It’s an instant meal so of course it’s not going to be as great as a home cooked meal or, in my case, an appetizer you can get at a restaurant, but it really hits the spot when you’re craving some teokkbokki, but you don’t have the ingredients to make it yourself or you don’t feel like making it yourself. It says there’s no instructions in English, but that’s not true because mine did. It said to put the rice cakes in the container, put in the sauce and then fill it with water to the red line on the outside and I think that just means the outside part that’s red because that’s what I did and it was perfectly soft and chewy and delicious. I did stop mine a few times to stir though. And it says for 700W microwaves to microwave for 3 minutes which I did and it was perfect. And for a higher wattage to do just 2 minutes which I did today at work and it was perfect again. Highly recommend it is so tasty. It had a bit more of a BBQ tasty than I’m used to, but it’s just the initial bite, after that it’s got that signature taste I expect from teokkbokki.

Images in product listing show powdered sauce packet as ingredient in the instant topokki. The product that was delivered came with a liquid sauce packet which tastes completely different than the powdered sauce, and is horribly unpleasant. I wouldn't have bought this if i knew what was actually in the packet.

These are so good. The sauce is sweet and not so spicy that you can't enjoy it. It's also not too viscous which is so important if you have issues with texture. I would recommend these again and again.
