Definitely a good and cheaper alternative to the nvidia shield tv. All apps downloaded as expected and works smoothly with no glitches. I highly recommend. (I bought the 240UK). My second purchase was the 270UK with a 3GB ram. The 240UK is 2GB ram, so the 270UK is much smoother, faster and less laggy, for the price difference, if you want better quality and fast results, (dare I say its 1:1 with the Nvidia shield tv) go for the 270UK

A brilliant streaming box- it's very easy to set up and downloading apps is simple to do! It runs very smoothly. I think is just as good as a firestick!

A well made product, Not that easy to set up, but none of them are. Once done however, this streamer works well. The remote is the star, well made, smaller, less complicated and more positive than most. Excellent picture and sound. An on-off switch on the stick or plug would enhance this product.

The best purchase yet. Unbelievably well-made high quality android streaming box. It's worth every penny! Bought a like-new item that was actually brand new. The remote is amazing and feels very heavy and well made and works even though my TV cabinet door is closed. To date I feel this is the best purchase yet! The Google box connected immediately to my phone. It was easy to add new apps to the existing ones. I can't find a single flaw. It make streaming enjoyable. It's definitely worth the higher price. I had searched through all reviews and honestly I cannot find a bad thing to say about this product.

Looks good, easy to set up , , connected up straight away to the wifi, can also be eternet connected. All apps are available for this as well. You are not limited to what Amazon want you to download only. Compared to a Firestick , this thing is like lightning speed. The remote actually feels like its got a bit of quality about it and did not fall out of a christmas cracker like the fire stick one. Shows what can be done when Amazon Prime are not trying to take over your life and the things you own.

I bought the Thomson streaming box 270UK Plus from StreamView, which took 3 weeks to arrive. Straight away I knew it was a returned item. The seal on the underside of the box had been opened. Also, there was a ripped lable on the underside of the box where they removed the other persons details. After spending a couple of hours setting it up. I turned it off and noticed that the display lights stayed on. I looked into the settings but couldn't find anything relating to the display lights. I turned it off again and the display lights turned off. I thought I somehow fixed the problem, but when I turned it back on again there were no display lights. So basically if I switched inputs, there was no way of knowing if the box was on or off. I got in contact with customer service and they told me to remove the power lead for 60 seconds then reconnect. I did that, then the lights were permanently on even after turning the unit off. (I've attached videos). I eventually tried to reset to factory settings but the reset button on the back only unpaired the remote control. Consequently I returned the faulty unit back to StreamView. I was thinking of selling it because they are going for £90 on ebay, but unlike StreamView I wouldn't knowingly sell a faulty product. This is the second time I've bought a Thomson unit and this is the second time I've had to return. I bought the streaming stick 140UK back in May and had to return it because of how slow it was compared to the firestick. I will stick with the firestick for now as I've had no issues with it, but I won't be buying another Thomson device.

Excellent bit of kit. I own many other brands of streaming sticks, and I am genuinely impressed with this. I bought it to turn a dumb tv in the conservatory into something a bit smarter. It's not a TV I use often so I didn't want to spend big money on a streaming device. I settled for this with low expectations and have been pleasantly impressed. The system is snappy, quick and responsive. Having voice controls built into the remote is excellent. Google TV is pretty good as well and has all the apps you would expect. The only app missing was the iPlayer. I was able to side load that in a few minutes, and it works fine. Easy to do. The biggest win for my kids was the fact that they can cast from a Meta Quest 2 straight to the Thomson stick and it's completely smooth and lag free. The downside for me is that they now want me to watch them play VR games all the time. Anyway, I was so impressed with the quality of this product and how well it works that I have now been eyeying up Thomson TV's!

I would say that this is a nicer platform than the other extremely famous stick out there, but the other stick is definitely more stable and I guess easier to navigate. I like the home screen on this one and the functionality of it but what I really dont like is that very often the remote requires to be paired with the stick. Almost every 2 weeks I need to delete and pair again, no idea why but that's just how it is. Other than that its a good stick with decent in built memory for the money. I would say it doesn't beat the other stick bit its a close 2nd place, I will persevere with this and see if any upcoming software updates fix the pairing issue.

Al habrirlo ya se ve en la calidad de la caja que el artículo no es como la basura china ,esta a la altura y la verdad que me a sorprendido bastante ,llevo horas usándolo y configurando lo y es super estable va rápido y no se cuelga y estado original especificaciones REALES: CPU-2GHZ RAM-2GB. ROM-8GB (pero usables menos de 4GB ) .para mí de sobra ,por qué!! ,yo uso principalmente KODI veo y descargo todo de allí .lo que hago es tener de 5 a 10 app en la me Oria propia del cacharro y con un adaptador OTG le meto un Pen de 16Gb y lo configuro como almacenamiento externo entonces todo lo que veo y descargo de KODI va allí ,perfecto y en la interna solo unas 10 app de TV streaming no uso juego ( no están destinados para eso estos stick ) para mí va ole , por cierto va con android 12 no con el 14 como me dijo alguno AAA!! Y la calidad a 4k. Se adapta perfecta y no da nada de tirones lo hace todo perfecto .yo después de comprar basura china en Ali di con este y e dado en el clavo NO COMPREIS EL FIRE!!! no merece la pena .en Ali compré un LEMFO DQ10 y se suponía que tenía 4gb de RAM 32 de rom ,y iba fatal y se veía peor no tenía ni 1gb de RAM NO OS LA JUGEIS !!!!

Het was even puzzelen maar dan heb je ook wat. Tweede kans product geleverd zonder batterijen voor de afstandsbediening en een ontbrekende handleiding. (Batterijen had ik zelf nog en handleiding gedownload). Na een uurtje installeren een uitstekende en vlot werkende Thomson Stick 140. Fantastisch beeld en geluid van Ziggo en F1 apps.

Il dispositivo è veloce, reattivo e senza lag, sia nella navigazione che nella riproduzione di contenuti in streaming. L’interfaccia Google TV è intuitiva e molto comoda: cercare film o serie TV sulle varie piattaforme a cui sono abbonato è semplice e immediato. Un grande vantaggio per me è la possibilità di utilizzare l’app Kodi, che con un apposito add-on mi permette di vedere in streaming i canali del digitale terrestre. Questo è particolarmente utile su TV non collegate a un’antenna oppure in caso di problemi temporanei con il segnale del digitale terrestre, ad esempio durante i temporali. In conclusione, un acquisto assolutamente consigliato per chi cerca uno streaming stick affidabile, veloce e versatile.
