when using on double glazed door you need a packer, NOT PROVIDED.

...or it will when the door timbers dry out. I spent a lot of time looking at all the conventional closers and all seemed to be too large for the door timbers and frame. This closer seems to be the best compromise and was quite easy to install. External outer front doors can be difficult to keep closed if the door and frame are not 'dimensionally stable'. A common problem with modern kiln dried wooden items. As the door is currently swollen this closer does not quite pull the door into the shut, but it is better than no closer at all. As it is only a porch door as long as it will hold against the wind that is all I expect it to do. The mounting instructions are a drawing but it is not difficult to get the basic idea. The only issue I have is the door is in fact a gate mounted in a door frame. Which means the main timbers are not the same section as the would be on a conventional door. Because the 'door' grows and shrinks by up to 10mm on each dimension getting the closer to fit in the correct place was not easy but it's up and installed and appears to work fine. It is certainly better than nothing. Overall I am happy with this closer and I am fairly certain I will not be forever adjusting the closer speed and force as I might with the more conventional type.

Gracias ha este sistema , la presión que ejercia la puerta sobre la cerradura electronica , por la junta de goma , que dificultaba muchísimo la apertura , se han solucionado, absorbiendo este sistema la fuerza , evitando portazos , asegurando el cierre de la puerta , evitando traqueteo por el viento y creando hermeticidad con la junta y la puerta , recomiendo 100x100. (Unica pega ya que he comprado el producto en blanco podría traer los tornillos con cabeza blanca)
