That is my problem as well. While you can talk to your doctor about an extended release prescription sleep aid that is aimed at this problem, the issue is your body will quickly build a tolerance to them. That doesn’t happen with this medicine. I’ve used it for years and have never built a tolerance. Since, like you, my trouble is not falling asleep but rather staying asleep, I started breaking the pill in half and taking the first half at bedtime. It’s enough to help me doze off and when I inevitably wake up an hour later, if I don’t go back to sleep, I take the other half. Maybe trying that will help you also? Good luck!
