Cute and fun
My daughter is a middle child of boys. So we had to get her one for "self-defense". She loved the pink. It is mid weight and easy to use. Hold 12 cap rings. The holster and belt are what they are - a little flimsy but durable and functional. If you have a little cowgirl in your home this is a fun gift.

Fragile and expensive caps
This cap gun looks cool, I'll give Parris that. But, it feels and is fragile. If you drop it on concrete I guarantee parts will shatter. My daughter was very careful with hers and it still broke with light and normal use. Parris has also cornered the market on the 12 round caps. Amazon doesn't carry them right now, they are very hard to find in brick and mortar stores, and even when you do find a legitimate retailer they're $3.99 for a pack of 6 rings. That's $0.67 per ring and they don't even reliably pop. I highly recommend you look at a different product for your cap gun play.

with a hat and bandana over your face you can rob real banks!
nice cast metal toy gun, close to what we had as kids, they go bang bang when loaded with caps however 12 round caps are not the most popular

Cowgirl Fun
Our granddaughter wanted to follow her older brother into cowboy land, however, she still considers herself a princess. The first thing she said was, Yippee! I have a gun, too, and it has pink handles!" Okay, so we have to teach her the lingo because we former wanna-be cowboy/girls know they are pistol grips. This is not a cheaply made pistol and is lots of fun.

Poor Quality Cap Gun
We received this today and I am sending it back tomorrow. Normally when I purchase items from Amazon the products are great and the descriptions/reviews on are dead on. This, not so much. Most of the cap gun is plastic and not very much metal in it's construction. The red-orange tip, that is required by law on toy guns, wasn't even pushed in all the way. I was going to fix it, but the barrel is not all the way together. So, if pushed the tip in, the barrel would separate even more. So back it goes.

Upside and downside
The prop/gun itself is nice, the only problem is that it is a cap gun, but you cannot find any 12 ring caps to put into it. When I did find 12 ring caps, after I ordered them I was told they were sold out (3 x's) you can only find 8 ring caps and they don't fit.

Cute
I bought this for a Family Feud-style reunion and it was perfect. It's probably meant for children, but it just fit around my waist!

Poor quality
My daughter played with this 3 times before it fell apart. The rivet that holds the drum and barrel is the same size as the hole, so it just slides out.
