The absolute best license plate cover EVER!!! The screws provided are long enough to secure the rubber backing, license plate, license plate cover, and my chrome license plate frame. The screws are also the correct thread pitch to fit my 2015 Highlander perfectly. I plan to order again for my other vehicles.

I was looking for a clear covered license plate holder that would seal off at least some dirt. The backing plate material of silicone is sturdy, soft, pliable. Seems it would last a long time. The license plate slips inside around the edges of the backing plate. The cover is of a harder plastic that also seems sturdy. However, the sealing between the two pieces is limited to the cover sitting against the backing plate. The four mounting screws hold the cover snug against the backing. Not a great/positive seal. Have to wait to see what Winter brings. The mounting hardware is an attempt at being universal. The machine screws were much too long, wrong diameter and thread. Useless for my application (2013 BMW). Once I hunted down the right size machine screws with the matching thread for the factory bracket, the installation went smooth. One close call was the back-up camera that is just above the license plate. Because this frame is considerably thicker, there was almost too little room for it with the camera in the way. Screw head caps fit snug. Should last a while, not designed for a good seal. Quality materials for the price.

This product is ok. I was expecting it to seal up the license plate a little better to keep water and dirt out but the corners of the clear cover are relieved which will allow some contamination to get in. There are drain openings in the bottom of the silicone holder to allow moisture to drain. One of the clear covers also had some “ghosting” or defects which did not wipe off, likely would not notice once installed but I used the 2nd cover which comes in the package because of this. The covers will scratch easily so be careful when cleaning.

Although it was a tight fit, I was able to make it work. I was not able to put the nuts on the back of the plates but they are in pretty tight. I wish there had been better instructions but I managed anyway.

One star only because it’s better than the dealership branded frame. The plastic cover was definitely an afterthought which is just an added layer to the setup. If you’re looking for low profile this is not the one. QR code takes you to what I would consider a questionable website that I refuse to navigate in fear of some sort of spam coming from it. The silicon is thin and will likely not last long in the Florida weather. Screws are fine thread which has me not wanting to tighten all the way in fear of stripping out the plastic mounting point. The holes didn’t line up with my Florida plate. To top it off, it doesn’t seam to be symmetrical. If you look at the top right corner of my plate there’s a thin white line visible, that was there before mounting as well. So disappointed that I’m not even willing to waste my time uninstalling and returning for a refund. I’ll just wait for the Florida sun to do its thing then replace with a better option and send this to the trash. Compete garbage.
