I have a friend who had a some broken frames which I repaired and returned to them. Turned out they held Indian Sand Paintings but I saw no staples, points or clips on the frames... They had been merely wedged into the frames. One had a deep frame but the other two, the Sand Paintings being so thick were flush with the back of the frame. I used this point driver on the deep frame. Worked a charm. The points are metal of course and can be bent with a mild amount of force. So once stapled in with this driver I was pleased how easy and effective it was to use the tool. I had read some people complained that it took some force to operate... I don't get it... the tool was very easy to operate, it didn't "kick". I just held it firmly against the inside of the frame, squeezed and voila!!!. No jamming, no misses, no hurt fingers. On the other two frames, the concern was that the back of the paintings were flush with the back of the frame. The solution was simple... I held the driver at 45 degrees to the frame and painting and squeezed. Same again, it perfectly inserted the point into the frame. The only difference was the point now stuck out a little so I just used a pair of pliers, not to grasp or bend, but simply to "press" the exposed part of the point flush to the back of the paintings. Worked great. Didn't have any wood split or any other kind of damage. I am really impressed with this driver. Wish I'd purchased one years ago. I've used a household stapler before with some level of success but this is worth it's weight in gold. Friend was very impressed with the frame repairs and the re-framing of their sand paintings. I would definitely recommend this driver. Excellent quality and perfect for the job at hand.

Amazing! Where has this tool been all of my adult life? Using this is SOOOO much easier than tacking brads with a hammer into the back of a frame! It appears sturdy, and it's easy to use. My only concern at the moment is that it takes a bit of care to load the points, because a full stack doesn't seem to fit in all at once. Unlike some staple guns I've used, it doesn't take an uncomfortable measure of force to compress the handle and fire the point. I've only used it once, so I'll edit my review if I have problems later, but I don't expect any.

If you make pictures and frame them, this is a necessity! So convienent, works perfectly h For hassle free framing

Bought this to secure back panels on pictures. This Point Driver works very well for that given the fact that it shoots the points out the front face of the driver, i.e. you can hold the panel down with the bottom of the driver, rest the head against the frame and shoot the point. The tools has some heft to it and feels very sturdy. The only complaint I have is that it misfires at times. To remediate I open up the nail compartment and shut it again with some speed to ensure the nails are all the way up front in the chamber. More of a nuissance than a deadly flaw, and might just be my driver then a general issue with design/production. The only limitation this tool has is when you try and shoot pins too close to the edge of the frame as the force and the pin might split the frame. But if you put the pin probably more than 1/8th of an inch down from the edge of the frame, you should be ok. Overall I do recommend this tool for its price point and functionality.

I bought this point driver because the hand driver I used when framing my paintings was hard on the hands when driving points into very hard wood. This goes in with no problems. My only issue is that this type of point allows the canvas panel to slide around a bit in the frame, unlike the glazier's points I used with the hand driver. I solved my issue by pushing down on the point in the gap between the panel and the frame with a pair of needle nosed pliers. Perhaps using a piece of foam board backing would work as well. Anyway, the driver is going to make my framing tasks much easier.

It is a nice tool to have i loved it. You didnt have to apply much pressure either. I seen where someone said it was hard to work but that's a lie unless your a absolute weakling. Loved it

Excelente herramienta para enmarcar cuadros y fotografías. Las grapas son grandes encajan perfectamente sobre madera u otro tipo de material para enmarcar.

Funcional. la utilizó en forma No industrial y no tengo problemas.

me dedico a hacer cuadros y es super funcional pues antes lo hacía con grapas normales y obvio da un mejor resultado y funciona de maravilla

Todo bien, la engrapadora se ve de buena calidad, pero no llega con las puntas que te dicen que van a llegar, NO LLEGAN 2000 te mandan 200 solamente
