Fixed low-beam headlight issue on my 2016 VW Sportwagen. Product seems better than original. Will buy again. I suggest removing tire and wheel well cover to get at headlight.

I own a 2013 Volkswagen Passat, and for weeks I had an issue where my passenger-side low beam wouldn’t turn on. I replaced bulbs, checked fuses, swapped bulbs side to side, and even verified the bulb adapter was seated correctly. Everything looked right, but the passenger headlight still had zero power. To troubleshoot properly, I took several steps: • Installed new H7 bulbs (SilverStar Ultras) – passenger side still dead • Replaced the 15A low beam fuses – no change • Checked the headlight socket for proper seating – everything was locked in • Swapped the entire bulb + adapter assembly from driver to passenger side – the problem FOLLOWED the connector • This confirmed the issue wasn’t the bulb, fuse, or headlight housing… It was the CONNECTOR itself. These Passat low-beam connectors are known to loosen, lose pin tension, or fail internally over time. Once I swapped the connector assemblies, the driver side stopped working and the passenger side came back on. That told me everything I needed to know — the connector was dead. I ordered this Dorman 645-127 connecto VW socket. Installation was simple: plug it onto the bulb, and reinstall the bulb/adapter. Instantly both headlights were back to full brightness. No more chasing fuses or guessing. This connector fixed the issue immediately. If you have a VW and one of your low beams has zero power even though the bulb and fuses are good, do yourself a favor — replace the low-beam connector. This part saved me from a shop bill and fixed the problem perfectly. Highly recommended

Product used on my 2014 VW Jettawagen TDi. Fit is perfect and after a month of use has performed with no issues. I would highly recommend and at half the price of the local part stores this was a steal. Great product.

It works in my 2014 VW Passat but the tab is too big. When installed the dust cover doesn't fit over it. You can see the size difference in the photo. (Burned out) OEM is on the right.
