This is a good set to own it definitely makes the job easier

I used the big "clamp style" separator to remove an unbelievably stuck upper ball joint on my 2005 Explorer. The usual "tuning fork" tool, hammers and a torch would just not get it! I wrenched this tool down incredibly hard using a 1/2" drive socket and a breaker bar. I was sure the tool would break. The ball joint still did not release.. that is how bad it was. I then applied the torch and in about 15 seconds the joint released with a BANG and flew into the inner fender well. Be careful folks.. lots of stored energy here! ONE NOTE: The tool is not quite big enough for the Explorer upper ball joint.. not quite enough spread... so cut about a half inch off the bolt. Hacksaw if no Sawzall.
