I have tried other bottled 'bacteria' from Seachem, Tetra, API and this one is superior in results. Compared to other alternatives on the market, I think it has cultures of the right bacteria (Nitrosomonas, Nitrospira and Nitrobacter) compared to other market alternatives that usually have heterotrophs or anaerobes. In my case, it dropped nitrites to near zero in under 30 hours. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but this little bottle of bacteria wizardry saved me a ton of stress. Set up a new tank, tossed this in, and bam—ammonia and nitrites started dropping like they owed me money. I added a couple of tough little fish and kept an eye on the water parameters, and everything stayed surprisingly chill. It’s like the bacteria knew exactly what to do—no training required. Had a well established nano brackish Opae shrimp tank that got badly contaminated by a rogue clump of seaweed popped in by a well meaning friend's little girl. No amount of partial water changes could clear the think stringy brown mess in the tank so grabbed some of this and just had to start afresh. Opaes are hardy l know, but even so, cycling a tank from scratch with them in worried me sick. Needn't have stressed out - this stuff is a life saving miracle! Yes it does pong a bit, and it has to be kept in the fridge, but its kept all parameters safe, water is clear and my shrimps are cherry red and happy bunnies again. Really impressive stuff!!

Tldr. If it stinks, you haven't shaken it up enough. It works. It cycled my 25l tank fully in a week with 20% water changes everyday when I got home from work. I inherited fish so had to put them in on day one. 9 harlequin, 4 amano shrimp and 3 oto. I just used the tetra test strip for ease of testing. Nitrites and nitrates were at 0 on day 8. Once opened keep it in the fridge. Made the water a bit cloudy but don't worry about it as that cleared up a couple of days after I stopped using it. All fish are feeding well and the harlequin were even showing breeding behaviour after day 4.

Ich habe den ARKA Nite-Out II Starterbakterien-Zusatz beim Einfahren meines neuen Aquariums verwendet, weil ich von Anfang an stabile Wasserwerte wollte. Schon nach wenigen Tagen konnte ich sehen, dass sich die Trübung im Wasser legt und sich der Nitritwert gar nicht erst kritisch aufgebaut hat. Genau das, was man sich wünscht, wenn man ein Becken frisch startet. Das Mittel enthält lebende Bakterien, keine chemischen Zusätze – man merkt das auch am Verhalten der Fische. Ich habe nach einer Woche ein paar Garnelen und später den ersten kleinen Fischbesatz eingesetzt, und alles verlief ohne Stress oder auffälliges Verhalten. Kein Nitritpeak, kein hektisches Atmen – die Tiere fühlten sich direkt wohl. Ich gebe es mittlerweile bei jedem Wasserwechsel in kleiner Dosis dazu, um das biologische Gleichgewicht zu stabilisieren. Gerade wenn man mal gründlicher reinigt oder neue Pflanzen einsetzt, hilft es, das System schnell wieder ins Gleichgewicht zu bringen. In Kombination mit ARKA Special Blend funktioniert es sogar noch besser – das Wasser bleibt klar, und der Filter arbeitet konstanter. Man merkt, dass sich die Mikroflora im Becken besser einpendelt und weniger Ablagerungen entstehen. Auch positiv: Es riecht neutral, lässt sich leicht dosieren, und man braucht wirklich nur wenig davon. Unica leggera scomodità è che si devono aggiungere ogni volta che si fa un cambio d'acqua, quindi è da comprare ogni qualche mese.
