Perfect for AQUARIUM use. I have not found a like product in pet stores, but thought to try this Pool/Spa rare earth. (Food grade products don't cut it). It does 2 microns filtering, and works fine with my old VORTEX diatomaceous earth filter. Cost wise it's a bargain, and now I don't have to skim on a filter fill with my previous limited supply. I have a salt water pool and have purchased this exact item several times at pool stores and the price on Amazon is typically a much better value. I prefer to buy DE in boxes rather than bags because the bags of typically unwieldy and make a bigger mess. This product works perfectly through my Hayward filter system and I rarely get algae. Thumbs up here!

This is De. We use it in our pool filter. It does what it is supposed to do. I bought it from Amazon because it was a good price. Generally De is De. This is the brand we normally buy. Its a good choice.

This is DE filter powder used mostly in pool filters. The e big box stores have it and the last time I checked they charged over $46. This is a bit cheaper and the same quality.
