Gets the job done
Cheap keyboard and mouse, keys are a bit mushy and the mouse is a little small for big hands. But the cables are a good length (around 105cm), no extra drivers needed, standard HID device.

Only negative is the cable on the mouse is too short. Other than that, they both work great.

Cost cutting at its extreme
Utter junk. HP have been reducing the quality of their laptops and PCs for years but this is a new low. Both the keyboard and mouse have comically short leads. Literally 50cm less than any other band of keyboard and mouse. Come on HP - are you really that skinflint that you are halving the length of cables on keyboards and mice? Literally buy any other brand - there is no reward for buying HP.
