I recently bought a couple of LCD panels for doing macro-photography and in no time the ball-head broke. So I bought these SmallRig units, because I've been happy with other products from them. These are so much better than the ones I received with my LCD panels. They tighten very decisively and feel secure. My only criticism is that when you release the tension, the whole thing moves freely. It is a little fiddly to position everything how you want it because there are so many planes of motion. BUT= I am still very happy that I bought these mounts. They hold my lights securely and the package of two units is excellent value for money. I would definitely buy them again and am happy to recommend them.

As ever with Smallrig gear these are great. Well made and have got me out of a few difficult situations by simply remembering they're in my kit bag. very happy with them and a lovely price for a pack of two.

Really well made feels solid and the movement is smooth, great little set of mini ball heads.

I used these to improve my macro twin flash. I can now positin the heads wherever I need them, whereas before, they only had a limited movement. Well made and look to last a while out in the field.

Really useful if your needing to mount small flash units, led panels, wireless transmitters etc if you are setting up a DSLR camera trap

Does what it's needed to do

I love Smallrig and I will continue to buy from them, but this specific product can't even hold a recording monitor, the ball is way too loose. It just about holds my Insta360 X5 but even then, if you push it even with one finger it comes loose. Both of them in this two pack are the same, so I think it's made for very small accessories. I will be getting a bigger, studier mount from Smallrig.

Ces petites rotules ont avantageusement remplacé celles qui étaient livrées avec des kits où on mat un truc basique dont la petite poignée casse quand on serre fort. On n'a jamais assez de ces petits accessoires et ceuxèci sont de bonne facture.

La verdad es que me ha sorprendido lo bien que funciona. El hecho de poder girar la cámara 360º te da un control total de la toma, lo que es muy útil para grabar en cualquier dirección. Además, el montaje es rápido y sencillo, lo que hace que sea una opción perfecta para quienes buscan algo práctico para sus grabaciones. Lo bueno de estos soportes es que vienen con un adaptador de zapata, lo cual hace que pueda utilizarlo no solo con cámaras DSLR, sino también con monitores. Su carga máxima es de 3 kg, más que suficiente para montar mi cámara con bastante estabilidad. En mi caso, me resulta muy cómodo poder ajustarlo de forma rápida, gracias a su tuerca mariposa. Ich habe in der Vergangenheit schon diverse Produkte von SmallRig gekauft und wurde bisher nie wirklich enttäuscht - das ist auch hier der Fall! Eigentlich war ich auf der Suche nach nur einem kleinen Kugelkopf und war dementsprechend begeistert, für diesen Preis gleich zwei Stück zu bekommen. Die Preisgestaltung finde ich, gerade im Vergleich zu anderen Herstellern, absolut fair! Mich persönlich kann aber auch die Qualität absolut überzeugen. Die Ball Heads sind komplett aus Metall gefertigt, sauber verarbeitet und wirken sehr robust. Vor allem aber lässt sich der Kugelkopf ihm Rahmen der möglichen Positionen fest und gut verschrauben. Da muss man schon wirklich mit Kraft dagegen drücken, damit sich etwas bewegt. Rezensionen, die kritisieren, dass genau das nicht stimmt bzw. sich der Kugelkopf bereits nach kurzer Zeit lockert kann ich somit nicht wirklich nachvollziehen. Ob man der in der Beschreibung angegebenen maximalen Belastung von 3 kg Glauben schenken kann, ist allerdings eine andere Sache. Darauf würde ich mich nicht verlassen, wobei ich mir auch nur wenige Settings vorstellen kann, in denen man einen so kleinen Kugelkopf tatsächlich mit so viel Gewicht belasten möchte. Von daher scheint mir das nicht unbedingt praxisrelevant zu sein. Dadurch, dass sie sich sowohl per Blitzschuh, als auch mit einem normalen Gewinde anbringen lassen, sind die Ball Heads vielseitig einsetzbar. Ich selbst habe sie bisher dazu benutzt, um ein Mikrofon, Aufnahmegerät oder auch einen kleinen externen Monitor an meinem Kamerakäfig zu befestigen. Hat immer einwandfrei funktioniert! Positiv: - komplett aus Metall - saubere Verarbeitung - sehr robust - sehr feste Arretierung - hohe Traglast - "zwei zum Preis von einem" Fazit: Für mich persönlich gibt es bei diesem Produkt wirklich nichts zu meckern. Preis-Leistung stimmen hier absolut, weshalb ich es nur empfehlen kann!
