Fritz Aquatics Algae Clean Out - Algaecide for Fresh and Salt Water Aquariums, 16 oz

This may be the best product on the market when it comes to getting rid of a bad case of algae in your aquarium. I don't do a lot of reviews, but I had to let consumers know, this is an awesome product. I only hate I didn't take a picture of how my aquarium was looking before I took the pictures after I used the product. My aquarium, for the third time, after changing it and days later it would be almost totally green again. I became so frustrated with how it was looking. I was about to remove all the fish and dismantle the entire aquarium so I could clean everything, but the bad thing is, I had done that before and the algae still came back. I decided to start doing some research on what I could do to rid the aquarium of this horrible algae problem. After my research, I came to Amazon to order Fritz Aquatics Algae Clean Out. I read some reviews, there were a few negative reviews, but there were more great reviews so I decided to try it for myself. I am so glad I did because this saved me so much work and time. I received my package Thursday evening. I was so excited to get it and use it that I forgot to take a before picture. But the aquarium was almost totally green to the point where it looked like a green powdery substance was floating around in the water. I used the Fritz Aquatics Algae Clean Out around 10:00 pm Thursday night. I used 12 drops in a 20 gallon aquarium. It seems like maybe after 30 minutes I could began to see some of the items in the aquarium. Around 10:45 I turned the aquarium light out and went to bed. When I got up the next morning (Friday), around 7:00 am, I turned the aquarium light on and to my amazement, the water was crystal clear, I was excited, happy, and very impressed with how this product cleaned all that ugly green algae out. All my fish were fine and looked so happy to be swimming around in beautiful clean water again. Thank you Fritz Aquatics Algae Clean Out for such a wonderful product! If anyone comes on and read my review, mark my words, you will not go wrong with this product. "It Is The Bomb!"

Stuff cleared out a 90 gallon aquarium that had turned pea green in a couple hours with one application. I should have bought a smaller bottle. LOL

This helped get rid of about half the algae in my tank

Fritz hit a home run with this product; I have never used algae remover or controller that has not had some major catastrophic impact on my fish or plants before. Make sure you do not overdose, use as directed first sure. I have not lost a single fish since using this product; and I have not seen any detrimental impact on my plants. I use a mattenfilter, and the hair algae due to my overfeeding my fish was getting out of control. This product fixed it, and also encouraged me to moderate the amount of food I give my fish. Using a toothbrush as well using the "spaghetti method" to manually remove excess hair algae helps significantly as well. This product was 16 ounces I believe, and will last me a very, very long time. Very reasonable price for a huge amount of very effective product for algae removal and control; best of all no negative effects on my aquariums!

This was a last resort after multiple water changes and deep cleaning my 10 gal tank for hours. Yet, I doesn't seem to have done anything after a few doses. Also, I'm disappointed that the ad doesn't say anything about it not being safe for snails. Luckily I read the directions but I wouldn't have bought it had I known that. My poor snails have been in a Rubbermaid container for 3 days and I don't know when it's safe to put them back into my aquarium. I have other aquariums but I don't want to risk infecting them with this darn string algae, which my snails could be carrying.
