Bought this for my son in law so he’s the final answer, but the recipes looked simple and good. I’m making the clam dip for Christmas Eve dinner. I love the title of the book, and it just looks manly.

Fantastic book - really wonderful recipes, and some good advice of what one needs to have in the cupboards (food and drink) to make a variety of things - particularly useless for a holiday home, so you don't have to return to the shops every few minutes. Great book, Matt!

I've been a big fan of Matt and his previous works and this is no different. Recipes are simple and easy to follow and intertwined with his own personal cooking story.

Beautiful book with great content and a very elegant aesthetic overall. I really love the design and what the book offers. However, I wanted to mention something for buyers who are particular about condition. Because of the linen-style cover and the darker fabric colour, the book tends to show marks, scuffs, and edge wear very easily, even with careful handling. Mine arrived with visible marks and slight wear on the corners, which stood out against the fabric. This may not bother everyone, but if you’re someone who expects a perfect, pristine cover, it’s something to be aware of. I’ve added photos so other buyers can see what I mean. Still a lovely book, just worth noting if condition is important to you.
