Is the top of the board wooden or does it have laminate print on it?

I think wooden, although I gave it to my grandson so cannot check.

The board with the border measures 5. 1/2 in, the playing squares measure 4.1/2 ins. it's very well made and if the size is ok then you will be very happy with it.
