Official IELTS Practice Materials 2 with DVD

This book is great for learning how the different tasks are set out for the IELTS tests, both General & Academic.

The book is perfect.

With this book I passed my English exam to enter at the university. It's very helpful with the reading, writing and listening exercise. I am very happy about it. I advise it for who want to prepare for the IELTS exam.

I prepared with it for 2 weeks and I got overall band of 7

IELTS gave me all the information I needed, the only issue I have is that this practice test came out in 2010 and is probably out of date by now. You still get a good idea about what the test is going to be like.

Excellent quality, and the DVD is useful, but having only one test makes this seem less than great value in comparison with the Cambridge practice test books which contain four tests.

As my review for the first book states, there aren't many tests in this, but what it has is very useful for students (and teachers) when preparing for IELTS examinations. These are real tests which have been used before, and therefore can be engaged with seriously (as opposed to offering practices and getting questions like "might we get this in the actual test?"... This is the actual test, so no need to ask). It even has the photocopiable answer sheets.

This arrived quickly and in good condition. It contains one full IELTS practice test and two additional writing tests (academic). I didn't attempt the general questions so am unable to comment on those. The book also comes with a DVD for the listening test. Some candidates' essays for the writing tasks are included in the back, giving a rough gauge of the standard required for the different IELTS bands. I found this helpful in conjunction with other materials for my IELTS preparation.
