Bright enough to locate faults easily.
Works as it should.

Work smarter not harder
Use this for work. And is works great had it on a 12 mile stretch of fiber, made it easy to find the break.

Extremely bright.
Very bright! I was able to visually confirm connectivity over a dark fiber span that was 17km in distance. Most VFLs would never reach that far. Battery life is slightly less than other brands, usually lasting a week or two with heavy daily use but the extra power is well worth it. It's so good I bought several more for my crew.

Super bright, not a workhorse
This is my third set of these. I absolutely love them. They are bright as hell, travel a long distance and are reasonably priced. So the only downside, I am on my third set because they break and do it often. So unless you just randomly dabble in fiber troubleshooting, these will not be your main VFL. I have a couple 30km pens that get thrown in bags, dropped and take the daily abuse of general troubleshooting needs. But when im shooting 20k+ feet or need to locate my port in buildings full of equipment and need to see the light from longer distances, this is the specialty tool that comes out. I have even found a squirell chew at night in someones backyard by just putting this light on and driving down the street til i saw the light on the strand from the street. Couple trouble shooting tips. If it is getting dim, flickers on and off or just wont turn on; The top half actually untwist as well to turn it off so if you retighten, it will work great again. If it starts fitting loosely putting the end into the pen, you broke the ceramic piece inside the end and it comes with one replacement in the little baggie. When, not if, you break both just trash em and reorder at this price. These little things are why I am on my 3rd set.

Doesnt last long
Strong tracer light when it works. Ive only had four months and light started only working intermittently. I can shake or tap sometimes to get working temporarily.

Fault location is a cinch
These things are bright! You can fault locate an issue with fiber cable even in direct sunlight with no problem. This has made my job so much easier. It was worth the $30 to not have to cover a cable to see my company provided vfl flashing under a black tarp. Awesome!!!!

Alright
They are bright but then around 4 months the laser goes bad or something because they just go really dim and you can't see them during the day.
