How to Take Smart Notes: One Simple Technique to Boost Writing, Learning and Thinking

I have been reading books for over a decade now and all non fictional. I highlight important text and copy these points in my note app. Sometimes, I used to add my notes on the highlighted texts. The more I collected, the more it became difficult to go back and learn. No more. This book offers you a solution that is not easy but will help all fellow readers to make sense of what you read. It creates a system where you think and turned out to be revolutionary for me. Just read it for the first time, but it will not be the last time for sure until I implement the system myself.

Finally I found a book that talks to me about how to capture my thoughts and put them into a structure for easy retrieval. This is not a book for everyone ... so check if you are a person who has very creative thoughts and needs a system to make sense of them..

This book emphasizes on elaboration and somewhat on getting feedback of one's own work . Of course, Luhmann 's method would be hard to copy in reality .But because of the method's reference, I think I gained more clarity about the study methods that would be helpful for me .

Not a review of the content of the book, but the print quality is poor. The printing is smudged at various places in the book ruining the reading experience.

There is no white space between paragraphs, the font size is so small and the paper and printing quality is so bad that I can see what's printed on the other side of the page

I was looking for step by step guide, including how softwares like Evernote or notion can be used to take notes. In first read i not clear yet. Planning to scroll the book again. I will check if any videos or blog posts are available. Also will check if author workshop is available at affordable cost. Bottomline is book did promise a lot n triggered my curiosity to learn more. However, book isn't enough to quench thirst.

The book is a photocopy of the original. The internal pages are of poor quality and the text is at an angle to the pages. The seller should be blacklisted please

How to Take Smart Note presents the Zettelkasten (slip-box) method as a note-taking system, which encourages an universal simple note format and an interconnected note storage and retrieval system. The printing is terrible, half of the book’s pages are double-printed and look hazy.

That is one of the most useful books I have ever read. It's written in not too difficult for non-english reader language with great storytelling, and describes the method of Luhmann in understandable way.
