quality
better than i expected cheap for price paid my b@q is 20 mile round trip it would have taken half gallon and cost more so its a bargain if it is a bit to wide use a lump hammer but make sure not to make it to tight for stop cock.

Simples!
I bought this Monument 331e Stopcock Key Mini Crutch to undo a particularly stiff tap at an awkward angle underneath a work top in the kitchen. If it had been available in an even shorter length I would have been able to use a ratchet spanner on the end as I have to work at right angles to the tap through a small access hole. However, once it is fitted over over the tap it is possible to utilise the hexagonal stem with a normal spanner to do/undo the tap. If I were to buy a closed end ratchet spanner (on my shopping list), I would be able to slide it down the shaft as the tommy bar is removable. The shaft is exactly 13mm and won't fit my 1/2" socket. It would be useful to know what the dimensions of each element of the tool is, as it will be used in a very tight area. In all, a good buy, even if I only use it a couple of times a year and its solid.

Great Tool for turning stiff stop cocks
I bought this to turn my house stop cock which was too stiff to turn by hand. It’s great. I did what others suggested and put the end into a vice to make it narrower - doesn’t need to be too tight though. It’s now perfect

Only buy if you are willing to adjust this item to fit your stopcock/tap
Absolutely useless for any stopcock tap or outdoor tap. Shape means that applying any force to it and it slips over the tap and doesn’t grip in place at all. Means not able to rotate a stuck or stiff stopcock. UPDATE - By closing the gap using my work bench vice fitted snuggly over the stopcock tap I stopped it slipping off. TIP - If it is not possible to get enough leverage using the pin/bar take out the bar and use 13mm socket set or ratchet spanner, which gives more leverage and better access under a sink. Obviously be careful too much leverage may damage the copper pipes or connections if the tap is not secured in place.

Useful, but may need tweaking to fit you stopcock
Certainly does job, but only since I hammered the opening a bit closer together. Tried another tool which was more solid but not alterable and had to return it. Nice neat size for small enclosures. Takes an extension from car socket set as well. Bit of plastic enclosed that I still don't understand... Good value, too

Ok but needs a few queaks
Could do with being a bit longer in length and the jaws could be narrower.

Wrongly described and not fit for purpose.
Too short at 9” or 23 cms to be of any use on inside or outside stop taps. Jaws are too big to fit the horizontal bars of the half inch brass stop taps and slips off easily. Made in India, maybe their stop taps are different there. Shaft is hexagonal so length can be extended because it fits a 13mm socket which can then be used with a socket set’s extension bars, but why bother as it would then be unwieldy and even more difficult to use.. I find that a lot with products from the far east. Screw heads are different and made for different tools than ours. Made for smaller hsnds and fingers than mine so difficult to do fiddly assembly jobs. Do not buy, rubbish!
