Olympus 2 GB XD M+ Memory Card

Does what it is supposed to do and very well. Great price, can`t get much for £11.50 these days. Liked it that much that I bought 2 more, gave 1 as a present. I`m in the brother in laws good books, thinks I spent £40/50 on his present LOL. Used for a few months now and would buy another if I needed, but 10 mega pixel camera with nearly a thousand pictures on full quality, do I need another? I use it mostly for sports pictures (rugby) & brother inlaw for Motor sport (touring cars etc). Use in normal & continuouse modes and the card works perfectly :-))

I bought these cards for my FujiFilm S7000, the manual states that the max capacity is 1GB, but both of these 2GB cards work fine in the camera(as does a 2GB compact Flash card btw, although it won't recognise a 4GB cf card). The cards can hold the following number of pictures: 3824@1M, 2868@2M, 2390@3M, 1220@6M, 754@12M (N) and 379@12M (F). I have the camera set for 6M (Million) pixels. I have just bought another 4 2GB cards, all working fine on the PC and camera.

Product is great but it took over a month to arrive. Not impressed! I wanted a new memory card for my mums 60th birthday celebrations, I ordered the card on the 4th February, her birthday was the 27th February so it should have arrived in plenty of time. It finally arrived on the 12th March by which time I had bought another memory card from a shop, so what i thought was the cheaper option of buying online actually ended up costing me more.

Large capacity XD Card for your camera. Not as fast as other memories, nor as large. M+ as the name suggests is faster than M type memory but not as fast at the no longer produced H type. XD is no longer being developed by Olyumpus and Fuji as they now favour more widly used memories. XD was specific to Olympus and Fuji. Most cameras that take this can use micro SD cards with an adapter and you can probably get up to 8Gb for the same price. BUT you will need an XD card in your camera to unlock some picture featurs e.g. panorama, or to use the camera to record video clips over a few seconds (with XD you can record to the card capacity). Don't expect to be able to use the picture features straight out the pack, you need to connect the camera up to originally supplied olympus software to turn it on.

I bought this for my OLY C-765UZ digital camera. I checked on the Olympus site first to see if my digi cam was compatible and It was. The only problem I have with this card, is that for some reason or another, my in built smart card reader just wanted to format it, which you should never let it, instead format it in the camera. Even when a different card reader was used the same result occured. But not to worry, if you use the camera's USB data cable to transfer piccys then all is well, although a tad more effort. So don't forget to check compatibility first, and use the USB data cable if indeed you do have the same problem I had. p.mc

I ordered this item as I was just about to go on holiday to New York and needed another card to back up my existing one as I intended to take 100s of pics. Although I wanted the 4GB card I was more than pleased with the 2GB version which produced clear and adequate images. Loved the little plastic case it came with. Also delighted with the price as the last card I purchased was almost double the cost.

This Great memory cards arrived after my holiday to Turkey so I ran out of space to take photos. OK it snowed, the Forth Bridge was closed and the memory card got stuck in Scotland as I flew out to 21' C and sunny weather in Turkey.

The xD card I ordered from Amazon (and had ordered previously) is a good product - with my digital slr camera it will hold around 800 images. My only criticism is not of the product, but that no other generally available make of camera uses this card - they all use sD instead, which means that xD cards have to be bought through the internet as no longer available in stores.

Worked perfectly for my old Fujifilm camera from 2001. I swapped out my old 128MB card for this 2GB card and could take tons of pictures on my vacation at the 3M setting and never came close to filling it. I did not notice any speed improvement when taking pictures. The biggest factor in speed for me is the battery quality. Switching from cheap batteries to Kodak KudAA4 Ultra Digital Alkaline AA Batteries - 4 Pack made a huge difference, especially when flash turned on due to power drain characteristics between pictures to charge up for flash again. So all that I saw was dramatically increased capacity (16X) which worked without a problem. I couldn't be more thrilled. Definitely go to the Olympus website or your camera's website and check picture card compatibility. The manual for my camera was out of date and only listed a max of 256MB and said nothing about these newer "M" and "M+" card types. But a quick check on the Fujifilm website linked me to an Olympus compatibility site which listed a large table of camera models and support. Some cameras require a firmware update to support more. My old camera was listed as supporting xD M+ up to 2GB without a firmware update when some newer models than mine needed an update to go beyond 1GB. It seems most support up to 1GB without a problem, and 1/2 support 2GB without an update, another 1/2 (minus a few) up to 2GB with a firmware update, and a few didn't support it. Bottom line, check the online chart for compatibility first. If it lists your model number and doesn't say anything about needing a firmware update, you should be fine. This is an excellent value and works perfectly (check your camera compatibility online, not the outdated manual). I can't imagine any reason not to buy the max your camera supports if the price is very reasonable.

2gb per le foto. Comprata per un'amica che ha una fotocamera Fujifilm . Sono molto contento per il fatto che questa XDpicturecard non si trova piu da nessuna parte . Poi è una 2gb, non è tanto, ma visto che lei l'amica aveva 2-3 xdpicturecard che arrivano al massimo a 250 mb. È compatibile con la fotocamera Fujifilm. Consegna e imballaggio tutto ok.

Esta tarjeta no solo vale para cámaras Olympus, también es compatible con las Fujifilm. Yo tengo una cámara vieja Fujifilm de 2005 que funciona de maravilla y gracias a estas tarjetas mi vieja máquina tiene nueva vida otra vez. Estoy encantada con su funcionamiento y sus prestaciones.
