I use this for my Kombucha, so replaced the plastic tap which is what the Kilner Jars come with as default, with this steel tap. And it means I don’t have to worry about any plastic disintegrating. The tap is pretty easy to install and clean and is super sturdy compared to the plastic version. You can also open and close the steel tap fairly easily and just with one hand. I would need to use two hands with the plastic version.

Not a sturdy material, tap is plastic so will not last that long. Needs to be made from steel to make it last as the last one only lasted under a year.

After cleaning my 5 liter Kilner jar and lid, I dropped and broke the glass lid when trying to fix the metal bands together. I’ve been trying to find a replacement on Amazon and Google but they don’t seem to provide these. So had to order a complete new one It’s a shame as the jar and tap are still perfect

Fitted to a Berkefeld gravity water filter as the plastic tap supplied with it had started to drip. This stainless version improves on the original as it has end-stops for fully on / off. When fully open, flow through the spigot is also faster than the original. Overall, an effective upgrade. NB A 19mm deep socket simplified hand-tightening the back nut.

A FAR cheaper to option A, which was going to just be a new one! But they had the spigots - slightly different, but hey...they had em. The price was a fraction of what I had expected because I thought I'd be buying a whole new jar (HUGE differences in prices - by the way..., it was super easy to install, and had given another 5 years lift the 5 it as lived. I use it to filter out nitrites that kill the grass ( nitrates in female dog pee kills the grass. Who knew? But we put Dog Rocks Lava Stones in a huge Kilner Jar and it keeps the grass green and the neighbours happy. The jar just makes it easy to have by the door and always filtered. Love my jar and was gutted I wouldn't be able to replace it! This one's a package deal for me!

The original tap on my water dispenser was quite stiff and I had to hold the bottle still with one hand and use the tap with the other. The old one eventually snapped as the plastic couldn't withstand the pressure applied long term. However this replacement (also plastic) opens and closes much more easily and can be done one-handed so it's a big improvement. No leaking either. I added a stand for my dispenser and now it's perfect.

The product was delivered incomplete. I then contacted the phone number provided on the Amazon service page to get it sorted. The lady gave me an email address to contact. I sent an email to that address. The response I got was to contact the seller through Amazon. So I responded that that is what I did and the steps I took. Since then I've been ignored. This is really not cool. I like Kilner products but the customer service is appalling.

J'ai utilisé le robinet en ne me servant que du robinet et des joints fournis, car l'orifice de ma bonbonne est plus petit que le diamètre du robinet aves toutes les pièces fournies et il s'est parfaitement adapté. En d'autres termes, je ne me suis pas servi du manchon rigide blanc et le robinet est parfaitement étanche. Je recommande même si la mention "acier" est fausse. Il s'agit d'une apparence argentée mais ce n'est pas de l'acier.

The photos are misleading. They describe this as a stainless steel product. It is not metal. It is silver painted plastic. I had one before that came with the water dispenser by the same brand and it broke due to wear and tear. I was induced to buy this as a replacement as i thought the materials were upgraded. Very disappointed with this product. The performance is average and i expect to be replacing it once again.

Ich habe den Hahn als Ersatz für einen Supermarkt Getränkespender gekauft - er funktioniert einwandfrei. Es fließt reichlich, ist dicht und tropft nicht.. Für den Preis eine runde Sache.

Seems much more solid than the metal-looking plastic tap that comes with Kilner 8l dispensing jar. Recommended.
