Lucas Oil 10278 Engine Stop Leak, 946 ml

This works really well on older cars where you may have a small oil drip here and there. Also quietens the engine. A good proven product

Had a very small oil leak from a Valve Cover on a BMW, that just would not seal at all no matter what, even after gasket replacement. Gave this a try and within 20 miles no leak, no burning oil smell and no drips onto the Manifold. Was very surprised as most of these products never work, but this did. Great product, would use agin.

After 300k miles, the car has a suspect oil leak (probably the turbo bearing seals) and to make matters worse, on a recent oil change I put in a slightly thinner grade of oil than I should. Used various Lucas products in the past (the fuel saver is really good, as is the oil stabiliser) and decided to get a bottle of stop leak and add a little to thicken the oil. Slight engine rattle disappeared immediately. If there is a persistent slight oil leak, given my experience with other lucas products - I have the utmost confidence that it will slow it down as I add more when and if there's room to.

Good value - bit difficult to use as it’s so thick (should be a clearer on the side so you can see in the bottle ) I had to put in measure before adding to car - however saying that it redeems to perform well, it’s not a cleaner and dose it’s function well helping refresh the seals - use is ok if you can work with the measurements

This stuff looks like Golden syrup or honey mixed with a glue but obviously it is not this. it is proper oil and mineral based product just very viscous. Followed the instructions and so far I am pleasantly surprised. The annoying leak has stopped, need to put some serious hot driving in and see if I still leave a small puddle in the works carpark. My advice to make use easier - it is better if the outside temp is not close to freezing, the colder the temp the thicker the unmixed product the harder to pour. Update after 600 miles, has reduced the leak but not by much, obviously it cannot work for all leaks.

I had a major leak, added 1 liter to 3 liter oil , It changes the sound of engine it is smoother now, I am really surprised.It didnt help with the leak though. I don't know what could be the long term consequences but for the beginning I am happywith it.

Good quality mega thick stuff from Lucas , You get what you pay for and this stuff is something I always use.

This product has been negatively reviewed far too many times, and I felt compelled to write a review on it. I have used this product on 3 cars with oil leaks, and my family has used it on their cars as well. My family has had great success with minor oil leaks, and 2 of my 3 cars I have used this on resulted in their oil leaks ceasing completely. My other car turned out to be a decent sized crack in my oil pan gasket, which explains why throwing some Stop Leak at it didn't solve my issue. This product helps greatly to repair old, hardened seals, but it doesn't falsely advertise to bring about miraculous results in moderate to major issues. My point is, this product works extremely well for it's intended purposes, and I feel that all of the negative reviews should be taken with an grain of salt. It would be spectacular to hear, from the negative reviewers, what sort of issues ended up being diagnosed in the cars this product didn't help. I'm by no means trying to put down the negative reviewers, but it does get a bit frustrating reading reviews on Amazon like "Put it in my car, didn't work, still leaking, crap product" or "I contracted a flesh-eating bacteria, and this 'highly rated' Neosporin didn't work. Don't waste your time. 1 star. Booooooo!!!!" Lucas Stop Leak is a great product for it's intended purposes, has been used and trusted by amateur and professional mechanics for years, and fully deserves a solid 5 stars.

I had a very slight oil leak and this product solved the issue after a couple of days of driving. It's not a permanent solution but so far no more leaking. Not sure how this would perform on more serious leaks.
