Great product. I have thick Afro-Caribbean hair and although i didn't want my hair straight (just looser curls) it is great for both. So usually when i straighten my hair it holds for about a 1/2 days, now when i straighten my hair it lasts until i wash it. When i wash my hair my curls are looser with less frizz and much more manageable. It's been 2 months since i had the treatment and the effects of the treatment are still there. the only thing i would mention is that i straightened my hair with the product in (the instructions say you should was it off and then straighten) but at my hair is sooo thick i felt i needed more drastic measures. Overall i think its great and i will definitely repurchase.

This is not a genuine product. I have been using this treatment for years and the last two purchases I have received from this seller are defective. Arrives in a sealed bag but the seal in the product bottle has been burst and the product looks to be watered down. I thought previously it was more liquid because they had changed the product but having used the last bottle with no where near the same result I now feel very disappointed and cheated, especially when it costs £144 per bottle! Not again, I am sending this one back for a refund. Will be reporting the issue to amazon and will not be purchasing from this seller again.

I do hope the retailer or GK professional do read this review. I anticipate that I used the GK Resistant treatment in the past and yes, it did smell toxic, and yes it contained formaldehyde or ingredients that with the heath released it. However, that product was working on different kinds of hair without damaging the colour at all. I have contacted the professional team before proceeding with the use and they said not to use it together with hair colour as it would have enhanced the colour of at least 2 tones, something that you can see in the instructions but it is not clearly stated that you must wait to week. Instead the information sheet and videos online simply suggest to wait for at least two weeks, as if it not really mandatory. While talking to them they told me not to use the Ph shampoo if I wanted to do colour and treatment on the same day (something clients normally want, as they are not really happy to come twice). However, for peace of mind I did wait two weeks. I tested it on my hair first, where I have a highly vibrant ginger Wella Koleston professional colour. Giving that it's quite rich in red pigment I was sort of scared to try it without waiting. I followed all the passages illustrated and I rinsed my hair profusely before proceeding with blow dry. I was going to use the shampoo (colour protector) before drying up, as recommended, but I immediately saw the colour had already changed. My hair was a dull blondish greenish colour. I sadly proceeded with a partial blow dry to see that red was completely gone from my hair. Something that does not happen ever without bleaching. I guess that who tried red colours for at least a year know perfectly well that it is impossible to get rid of it without bleaching the hair or waiting for them to regrown. I thus decided to dye my hair immediately, despite the fact the professional team advised not to do it as it would have been pointless. Since I was scared I proceeded in a different way from the usual dying process. Procedure to fix red colours or similar types of colours: Immediately dye your hair using just the colour with a dash of red pigment (I would say 30-35%). Do not use oxygen but use water instead and do not put the colour at the top of the head as, if you proceeded according to GK instruction you shouldn't have applied The Best on the scalp but a quarter of an inch from it. In the same way you need to put the colour. Massage a lot and leave on for about 15 minutes - no more, as the red pigment is really strong. Wash with balancing shampoo (if you care to save the treatment, which anyhow I think is lost) and then proceed with blow dry. I have not applied any conditioner as I was not sure this would have completely blown away the treatment. Result: I did sort of save my hair colour, which is lighter but still my ginger tone and not blond or green. The treatment results are not noticeable much, though. Not sure if it is because I have re-dyed my hair. To be fair, even after the first blow dry my hair was still pretty dry and not soft at all. It is a miracle I still have my hair on. Also cause maybe I avoided using oxygen. Not sure what it would have happened instead. Considerations: Even if this product might have worked if I did not have re-dyed my hair immediately I would not recommend it to anybody. I does completely alter your hair colour even if you wait two weeks. I tried on another hairdresser (she had chocolate dye on her hair and it became blondish too).

This product is excellent. Having done many treatments on clients, I find it to be great. Take note though, make sure you cleanse REALLY well beforehand, leave product on for as long as possible taking care of over-sensitised ends and MAKE SURE THE CLIENT KNOWS TO DRY THE HAIR WITH THE NOZZLE POINTING DOWN!! I had one lady come back but she was blow drying it upside down with a travel hair dryer ie NO nozzle!! Once I showed her how to do it properly, it was fine so she's purchased a decent hair dryer and can now manage it at home. I would not use any other product. I have been at the forefront of hairdressing for over 20years..

I love this product. It reduces my hair thickness by half. Smooth and straight. Rather expensive.

Very pleased. I used global keratin years ago then decided to try cheaper brand ( got 1 litre for £100) and it only made my hair worse with each treatment. I just disposed it and ordered gk worrying a bit about it's quality these days. I was not disappointed. My hair is really soft and silky even tho I have done much damage to it past year. I highly recommend this product. It's definitely legitimate gk treatment.
