Betaine HCl 648 mg with 150 mg Pepsin 120 Veg Capsules

Used this as a Hashimoto's/hypothroid person who has a little trouble digesting protein and it works really well, not pain, no bloating, no gas. Check out Dr. Jockers method for testing how many capsules you need on line. Also make sure you are not eating too much protein in one sitting 4-6 once depending if you are a large chap or small female. I used to eat two chicken thighs in one meal and have now reduced to one with much better results and still getting enough protein to stop any hunger cravings.

Great supplement

Seem to be doing the trick for low stomach acid. I take 2, 3x a day before meals and helps with digestion. I stopped taking them for a while but I definitely notice the difference not taking them so I'm back on them and they help.

I have bought this product a number of times over the years and found it to be satisfactory. I decided to buy it again but when I looked at the item, I discovered that this product has gone up in price and is now 5.00 more expensive than when I bought it last. I went for another product in the end at a better price for the same amount.

a game changer for digestion. I suffer from what turns out to be low stomach acid rather than high. I have been suffering with something akin to acid reflux / gerd for the last 2 years after a bad bout of bulimia. My GP tried to put me on omeoprazole which of course, made the things worse. desperate after burping food for hours I heard about this and decided to give it a try and finally i can digest food without it ever coming back up. sometimes one cap is not enough though so try and test to see what's your need and tolerance.

Original comment : I was using another Betaine HCL with pepsin "Doctor's Best, Betaine HCl, Pepsin & Gentian Bitters" and it was very good. It help me tolerate more food since i have SIBO, leaky gut and Histamine intolerance. I decide to change to this "now" brand since it have more pepsin (150mg) but the result was so disappointing!! after having the first two capsule i felt dizzy and so depressed and i start having headache. If you have success with any other brand i don't recommend to switch to this one .. I wonder if they make refund. Update 1 (1 week after contacting their customer Service by Amazon msg): I rate the product 1 start but if it is possible i will rate their customer service "- 5" . I ask to return the two bottle (1 open missing 2 caps , 1 still brand new) and they ignore me totally. They don't care about you or your experience or your money ... Also i was searching about this "now" brand and they seems to get their raw ingredient from CHINA. Maybe that can be a good reason to my reaction to this particular HCL. Definitely i will Bowcott this brand for ever. Cheers.

This product was invaluable in raising low stomach pH after long illness and an ill advised 4yr stint as a wholefoods vegan. No meat or fish for 4yrs further lowered my stomach acid. At first I needed at least 4 caps for every small meal. After about a month I could reduce to 3 or 2 per small meal. After 4 months I often don't need them at all. N.B Docs often misdiagnose low stomach acid as excess stomach acid. Dr Myhill (UK) has an article about this + a home test to see which one you have using bicarb of soda.
