Overall amazing quality and doesn’t break easily!
This mic overall is perfect for most people. The quality is great and the material used makes it droppable with no damage. It works in any setup, whether for gaming or recording. Only downside is the cord and where it connects. The cord is bigger than normal ones nowadays so it need to be in a good spot and not pulled or moved. I used the mic for years until the cord broke and I had a hard time replacing it.

Great sound quality! Tiny profile, but Big on the inside.
I purchased this mic to use primarily in a home office while on WebEx/Zoom calls. Previously I was using a MS Lifechat LX3000 headset, and the mic quality was excellent. However as a senior member of a very technical team, I felt like a teenaged gamer wearing a headset on camera while my peers all used their integrated mics. Everyone agreed that I sounded much better than them, however I felt slightly less professional. Now with the Samson Meteor, it sits out of camera on my desk, facing me, and I don't have to wear an unprofessional headset anymore. My team says I sound even better than before, and because the cardioid pickup pattern really only captures the audio in front of the microphone, my household family noises aren't heard as much as before. The only drawback and it is a so tiny I almost don't want to mention it, the location of the mute button. All of the applications I use to hold remote meetings have their own mute function, but I don't like to use them, as I am sometimes looking at another window or typing on a CLI elsewhere, and don't want to have to "click" back into the meeting app and un-mute myself to make a comment. The MS Lifechat had an inline mute button and when I muted myself nobody on the call could tell, it didn't make a noise. The Meteor makes a tiny noise when you mute it, mostly because the mute button is located right below the mic pickup. A co-worker said they could hear it, but only when I specifically asked them to listen for it, as a test. Since then nobody has ever commented on the sound, and it's such a small thing to even bring up. All in all I am very happy with this microphone and would recommend it to anyone. My son uses a Blue Yeti and this honestly sounds way better, and it's half the size.

Good mic for a good price!
Picks up well with good quality up to a few feet away with decent noise cancellation. Good for webcasts. On-mic mute button is a good feature. Note that the mic has an audio output jack on it which means it will steal the audio output from the laptop. I was tricked into thinking my audio was not working until I realized this. You can plug a headphone into the mic to hear audio output from the laptop, but having this mic plugged in will disable the audio from your speakers and send it to the mic. You have to disable the audio output to the mic in windows settings if you want to hear the laptop output differently. Dropped a star because I'm not sure why this would even be useful. I was hearing a delay when listening in headphones through the mic.

Great microphone for the price
I've had this microphone for about 2.5 years, and it sounds great. Be mindful that it will pick up all noise unless you are using noise suppression software.

Good quality and looks
Good quality for the money, has cool features, compatible with Mac and windows. It’s small which is nice, because you can fold it up for travel and it doesn’t take up desk space. It also looks really good for being a minimalist microphone.

Really awesome desk mic.
Great clarity with no hiss and easy setup even on my iPad (with a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter). The recording app I bought for my iPad is just ok, so I really prefer using the mic with my laptop and I use some great software called Mixpad Multitrack Recorder by NCH. They have a free for non-commercial use version if you look for the small link on this page... http://www.nch.com.au/mixpad/ The mic itself is very nice quality aluminum and feels substantial in your hands. The matte black finish looks awesome. The recording quality is really super clear with no hiss. It is powered right from the USB port, so you only have one cord to deal with. It has a headphone out port so you can monitor what it is recording. The aluminum feet fold down and have little rubber spots on the bottom to isolate vibrations and to keep the mic from slipping around on your desk. There is also some mic stand threads on the bottom. There are some review videos that say it rivals the Zoom H4n recorder and after listening to the results, I believe it. It is much less expensive than the H4n, but you still need to lug a laptop or iPad as the capture device, so I may still end up getting a digital recorder because I need portability... but this is great for now. If you are recording mostly at your desk, then this Meteor Mic is perfect!!

Awesome Noise Cancel, Easy Set Up
I bought this mic by a recommendation from a co-worker. I needed something I could use on conference call that did a better job of picking up my voice while canceling out background noises. This thing did the job and then some! Since I have used it to record voice messages for our company. The sound is super clear and it is rare that it picks up a distracting noise from the background. Installation is pretty plug and play, the whole set up took about 10 minutes. The mic has some weight to it, i was pretty surprised. The tri pod does good job of making a stable base. I wish it was bluetooth, but for the price I understand. Overall I am extremely pleased with this mic and highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade the sound quality of their recordings at home or in the office.

High quality mic, but with a few issues
I bought this microphone for playing LAN games with my friends and recording playthroughs. The microphone itself is very good for the price. I really like the quality and build of this item. The pictures make it look kind of cheap but it really is made out of quality material. The design is also very practical as it is easy to collapse the legs and store or carry. The legs protect the casing when in this configuration. To better organize my opinion of this product I will write a list of the good and the bad Pros: -Sound quality and sensitivity. Sound is picked up very well up front and also captures background voices pretty well without having to speak up. -Build quality and finish. This product feels very sturdy. The legs hold their position well without being too difficult to adjust. -Mute button is very handy which can be overlooked on a lot of other mics in this price range. The LED works well as an indicator if the mic is live or not. There is a drawback to this design which I will mention in the Cons section. -Storage case feels nice and does what its suppose to but is slightly too small to fit both the mic and 5ft USB cable comfortably. Cons: -The leg on the back has to be in the lowered position for the mic to be plugged in. Its not likely that many people will have a problem with the but if you use the threaded stand mount I can see it being annoying. -Placement of the headphone 3.5mm jack seems bad if you need to plug in the device while in use as it is directly above the USB input on the back of the unit. -The mute button picks up quite a bit of noise when pressed in use -There seems to be significant interference between the digital input and analog monitor. So there is a bit of noise in the headphones when in use. This may be an issue with the levels but I havent figured out how to make it stop yet. -And the most annoying thing to me personally is the volume control for the monitor. There is significant resistance in the knob from turning. So you almost always need 2 hands to adjust this. It also doesnt protrude enough in my opinion. As a person with very short nails I find it difficult to adjust the knob. It picks up so much noise from the fiddling involved that you cant realistically adjust this while recording. Even with the caveats of this product I would still recommend it. Although I think the price could be better I think this product is superior to its competition.
