Great customer support.
These test strips are easy to run, and give an accurate reading. I am giving this review 5 stars because I had a quick question regarding the test results and contacted the company. Their customer support was excellent. They responded to my email with a return phone call within 5 minutes, and spent close to 1/2 hour on the phone going over wine chemistry. They even emailed me a few articles for reference. I would highly recommend purchasing from this company

Good for Qualitative Testing
If you need to know whether your malolactic fermentation is finished, this can probably do the job. The test output ranges from 0 mg/L malic acid to 500 mg/L. You can pretty confidently determine a zero or near-zero point, but the 30 mg/L to 500 mg/L range is not well-delineated. You shouldn't plan to use this test to quantify malic acid levels, just to determine presence / absence.

expensive but it works to my needs
My first time using this product and my starting malic acid in my chardonnay was >500 but after MLF it was 0-30 and completed! expensive but you know if your chemistry worked

Useless
I’ve purchased these twice. The first time I thought, clearly as simple as it is, I must have done something wrong as the color on the strips was pink ( after the four minutes) and the color on the chart had no pink. So I purchased another kit and it’s the same. Taking many samples to the lab is so expensive so I gave it a second try. I’ve ordered the paper chronography now and it’s accurate and cheaper if you make large quantities of wine.

Worked great!
Most economical way to monitor Malolactic Fermentation. I found when strip dries is where most accurate color comparison can be apparent.

Adequate and relatively inexpensive
The test strips are inexpensive compared to a more accurate paper chromatography test kit. The test is based on color matching a test strip to a color scale. It is best for determining when a malolactic fermentation is complete or almost complete (malic acid concentration is low or zero) rather trying to estimate actual malic acid concentrations. It is not that easy to compare and distinguissh the colors.
