Def what i needed easy to install worth the money i payed for 👍🏽

Has the wires with the numbers to match the one installed. It was easy to install myself. I'm a homemaker not an electrician.

Product works fine. They don't tell you the colors to match up to and most people don't just keep schematics laying around for ceiling fans. Here is what the wires need to be: Connect the black wire to L. Then, you can wire Purple to 1, Yellow to 2, and Orange to 3. This worked fine for my on my Hampton Bay 3 speed fan.

I recently purchased the zing ear 208s switch as the one in my fan broke where it is screwed to the fan housing. The old switch has the part number 208s so stupid me thought a new one with the same part number would be a direct replacement. Easy install but fan only hums in one position and does nothing in others. Fortunately there was no fire or smoke. The new switch connections are L-1, L-2, L-3 and off. I couldn't get consistent continuity readings on the old switch. probably due to slight corrosion, although it still worked in the fan. So I drilled the rivets out of the old switch so I could do visual analysis. The old switch connections are L-1-3, L-1-2, L-1-2-3 and L-2-3. Went to the Zing Ear website. It's in Chinese or some similar language. I can't read that stuff but the googler turned it from gibberish to something resembling English. There I found a part number, ZE 268S2, that had the correct connection sequence. Turns out Amazon has one of those so I ordered it. Installed the 268S2, it works perfectly. I might add that I spent countless tens of minutes searching the various DIY ceiling fan web sites and none that I found addressed this issue other than to say that the newer switches were not compatible with the older fans and good luck finding a replacement. Some of these sites are "pay for help" sites and the "experts" there could not help them other than saying be sure to record the wire positions before removing the switch.

The slow and fast speeds work alright but as other people have noted there is not a middle speed as advertised.
