Useful Training Aid
I have just begun lessons in archery, but have yet to invest in my own bow. This makes it very difficult to practice in between sessions. Our trainer recommended using stretch bands, but I found this gadget online, so searched for a review. There is an online video of an experienced archer trying it out and he seemed reasonably impressed, so I bought one. It is very good for practicing good form, particularly if you use it in front of the mirror. It is better than using a stretch band, because you can practice getting your hand in the correct position on the bow handle and the tension on the band to your foot makes it feel more like you are lifting a bow, albeit quite a heavy one. I think the strong tension of the bands is also intended to help you develop the muscles you use for archery. (Shortening or lengthening the 'bow string' band increases or decreases the draw weight.) One point: The professional archer said that it was quite a low draw weight, so I believe this makes it good for beginners, but not very experienced archers who have, quite literally, more pulling power! Anyway, for the price, I am really happy with it. I hope it will allow me to practice the correct moves and make me a better archer. Only time will tell... Update: You might want to wear a glove on the hand holding the 'bow'. The elasticated band does thwack you on it! Also, I should have said that it is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed archers.

Not ideal for practicing draw strength
Wanted to use this to practice draw strenght but it snapped out of the handle and smacked back at me could be useful for those with low draw strenght looking to get some light practice or possibly just to get positioning but use with caution

poor design
Works ok as a draw stretch band, but the handle is uncomfortable and not contoured well enough to simulate a bow grip. the foot band is weighted too strong, it is way heavier than any bow I have held. If you use the footstrap band and try to draw it pulls the handle downwards at an awkward angle and causes friction pain between thumb and forefinger (again this comes back to poor design shape of handle. The other problem is when using both bands (foot and arm) it puts downwards pressure on your shoulder joint which feels like compression on your ribs under the bow arm. save your money and buy some standard resistance bands, they work much better ( I have both)
