Ended up with the beginnings of a roach infestation in my apartment building after a neighbor with roaches moved out. This Hot Shot gel uses an ingredient that kills both the adult roaches as well as their eggs and works wonderfully in combination with another product like fipronil gel, which the roaches will carry to the next and share with all of their compades, killing the entire nest. The two-product approach ensures that any insects who have gained resistance will also be killed. I combined this with another product gel that has another active ingredient because fipronil is effective but prone to resistance, and within 48 hours, all visible signs of roaches have disappeared. It is also very safe to use around pets, with the active ingredient even being used in topical flea treatments, as it has been engineered to be nontoxic to nontarget species, so the most that will happen if your pup or cat eats some is a mild tummyache.. This is a HUGE tube for the price, almost 4x the size of other options, and it's cheaper, so it's not only a better size, but also a better price for a larger amount! It's clear in color, so you can't even see it after it dries, and it blends in nicely all color schemes, and it's very easy to clean up, as it hardens and can be flicked off with zero effort. All around a wonderful product for anyone experiencing roaches!

This is probably one of the best roach control products that I have ever used. It's clear and odorless and it definitely starts to work within minutes. I have used this in several severe infestations when cleaning out houses for a living and within 24 hours and just one application the roaches are almost eradicated. Definitely worth buying.

If you are expecting this to be the viscosity of a gel, it's not. It's not watery but it's also not what I'd consider a gel. Getting the plunger in was almost impossible but when I finally got it in just enough (so I thought) to hold the liquid in so I could un-cap it, about half of it dumped out into my sink. That being said, since using it, I haven't seen one single ant, so whatever is in the syringe is good stuff. I just wish it was easier to handle. Losing half of it into my sink was disappointing.

This product didn't work for me. I found it hard to apply on surfaces without making a mess. I really didn't see the difference. I wouldn't recommend it.

Hot Shot gel really kills roaches. I live in an older apartment building and you have to expect there to be a roach problem. I use this in every crevice along baseboards, and in any openings around water pipes and baseboard heating units. I do this every 2 months, and they stay gone! Cat's food dishes are on the floor and never see them around those either. Use this product and the spray as well.
