I'm enjoying using this scope for my African Violet plants!
I love that it's super easy to magnify and focus...I can hold it in my hand over my plants and take photos with the handy button on the side. I can zoom into the center of the crown on my plants without destroying the delicate leaves...I might not be able to get it in on Standard sized African Violets if they're not laying flat enough, but it works great on my minis so far. You can capture great detail on many different items around the house, which is fun! Kids might enjoy using this if they're curious about nature and science. I love playing with it and I'm just an average plant grower. Can't wait to see what all I can zoom in on to photograph and impress my social media friends :-) Good value for the money, it's much nicer than the less expensive scopes out there and feels very high quality. MY favorite thing is that this one is WIRELESS so I'm not tethered to anything and I can roam around and send photos to my phone looking back at it to see what I'm photographing. I forgot to mention it has batteries built into it!! It charges via USB Micro cable and pretty quickly. I think you may get at least 45 minutes on one charge. Can also double as a flashlight if you find yourself out in the dark, LOL! Just turn on your scope cam and the light will also come on ;-)

Awesome scope, OK mount.
Wow. I've owned these types of scopes for a few years now. Everything from the cheap, plastic lensed pocket scopes that leave you thinking you have glaucoma, to more expensive $150+ digital scopes marketed to coin collectors and insect enthusiasts. The image quality of this sub $50 kit rivals ANY of the others I've owned in the past. As with any microscope, your depth of field is going to be thin. This scope manages to have incredible image quality as well as a noticeable increase in DOF compared to my other scopes. Honestly, it's a slight improvement some may not notice, but believe me, it makes a difference! Now, the "bad" things. When focusing, the wheel feels almost like some of my professional L series lenses. Very smooth throughout its range. The only VERY slight issue I had, was a tiny bit of focus drift. After a couple days of using it, the issues has resolved itself. With it being a brand new item, there going to be some degree of break in. Mine took about 45 minutes total usage. Not long at all once you start to see things in such beautiful detail that you'd never see with the naked eye. The biggest issue I had, was the mount for the scope. To be completely transparent and honest, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to my gear. For me, I need a scope mount that is sturdy, and height adjustable. This mount is sturdy enough to do the job, but it can be a hassle to adjust, and you'll need to stack something under it if you need more height. Personally, I'd just buy the other mount they sell. For $22, it's worth it's weight in gold if you want rock solid, sharp pictures. Again, the mount is more a preference of mine. I got plenty of usage out of the mount it comes with until I installed it in my other mount. Overall, I love this scope! I have over 200k worth of professional photography gear, and this scope deserves a spot in my bag, right along with the rest of my gear. This isn't a super nuclear powered alien tech scope that let's you see molecules breathe, but for its intended usage and price point, you will not find a finer piece of kit. I've added 3 pictures to show the amazing images this scope creates. 1 is a screw showing the threads, and then an even closer shot of a single thread. The last, is an image of the date on a US dime. I just can't say enough how amazing and unbelievable this scope is!

Good scope for the price
I want to start by saying that I like this scope. It's a good scope and you should buy it. It's easy to use. I connected it to my iPhone and my iPad in the length of time it took to read the directions, under a minute. It has very crisp sharp images. It's well worth the price. I use this for exactly what's show in the picture, looking at plant trichomes. However, it has some shortcomings. First and foremost is the notion that it does 50-1000X. It just doesn't. What they call the "zoom wheel" is in fact a focus wheel. If you have the scope setting on a flat surface, (like the included calibration image) you can get it to focus at only two magnifications. It is incredibly clear and high resolution at those two magnifications, but you can't just change the zoom level through the whole range. The zoom buttons are a digital zoom, allowing you to double the image size, but it doesn't change the optical zoom. The pictures below show this effect. Picture zooms changed by turning the focal wheel, but no other "zoom" levels are in focus. However, as you can see from the trichome pictures, it's a lot of zoom. Second, the stand is a waste. They should have forgone it and made the product cheaper, or given a better one. Lastly, and this may be a deal breaker for some, this connects to your phone or ipad via wifi network made by the scope. So, while you're using the scope, you are no longer connected to your real wifi. So, for me, that means no music streaming, the photos don't sync, etc, while the scope is in use. Not a huge deal, but could be a problem for some.

Ik gebruik de microscoop om planten op plagen te inspecteren en daarbij is het heel fijn dat hij draadloos is en vlot op een mobieltje kan worden aangesloten. Ook de verlichting werkt goed.

I've been using these USB microscopes for years and this is the 1st time I've ever used a WIFI microscope. My concerns that it would be hard to set up went away very fast because the device worked perfectly as soon as I tried it. For the WIFI I used the recommended program "WIFI CHECK" that can be accessed through the QR code in the instructions and put the app on my Android phone. I loaded it up, powered on the device and then connected to it via the app and much to my surprise it worked flawlessly. I thought there might be some lag between movement of the device and the image on the screen of my phone but it seemed instantaneous. Using the settings on the app I selected the larger resolution and it worked great. I also tested this device out on PC as well using the program called "xploview" and once again it worked perfectly. I had to adjust the resolution in the program when first using it and everything looked great. I tested the digital zoom buttons and they work as expected, digital zoom sucks though. As for optical zoom it is very nice as well, you can get very clear super close-up shots with this. The thing you turn to adjust the zoom is very smooth on this device, my other devices have a more clicky one, I'm not sure which I prefer but it works well. The lighting is excellent, I very much prefer the light adjustment dial on the device as it is here, on my other devices it is on the USB cord and that is kind of annoying. There is a built-in rechargeable battery, the lighting indicators or instructions regarding them are not very clear though and are also red which in Canada is usually a default for "out of power". If anything could use improvement on this device it is the power indicator lights. This is a very minor problem that only arises when first using the device, experience would solve this mystery.
