Works great and no issues with it for my build
UPDATE 07/2023: After 5 years of ownership and daily use, the power supply died. I will go into in-depth detail on any item since other popular reviews have given excellent information, so in quick summary: My Build (all components work flawlessly): 1. Zalman ATX Mid Tower Case R1 (Nice looking case, provides room for everything, adequate cooling and allows good cable management). 2. ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING LGA1151 DDR4 HDMI DVI M.2 Z370 ATX Motherboard with Gigabit LAN and USB 3.1 for 8th Generation Intel Core Processors (Great expandability and room for future upgrades, enough USB ports for most applications). 3. EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING, 8GB GDDR5, EVGA OCX Scanner OC, White LED, DX12OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card 08G-P4-5670-KR (Great balance of price and performance). 4. Intel Core i7-8700 Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6GHz Turbo LGA1151 300 Series 65W BX80684i78700 (Came with a thermal solution (fan) but I used the Cooler Master - see below). 5. 2 of Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - CT500MX500SSD1(Z) (Man this is fast, Win10 boots in about 5/6 secs. and programs open fast as well). 6. Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA M.2 Type 2280SS Internal SSD - CT500MX500SSD4 7. CORSAIR TX Series TX850M 850W 80+ Gold Modular Power Supply (Adequate power supply for into the future and has ample connectors). 8. Corsair LPX 32GB DRAM 3000MHz C15 Memory Kit for DDR4 Systems (Adequate for my application for work and gaming) 9. Cooler Master Hyper RR-212E-20PK-R2 LED CPU Cooler with PWM Fan, Four Direct Contact Heat Pipes (Instructions are poor, system builders with experience will have no problem, first timers will eventually figure it out. Comes with all you need including thermal paste). 10. ASUS MX239H 23-Inch, Full HD 1920x1080 IPS, Audio by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower HDMI VGA Frameless Monitor (Really nice monitor for the price though those heavy gamers will want something far superior. Built in Audio is good enough for You Tube and regular use, but I personally find its not so good for Netflix, look at some decent speakers based on your needs). 11. Sabrent 74-In-1 3.5" Internal Flash Media Card Reader/writer with USB Port , Black (CR-USNT) (For the cost and convince you can’t go wrong). 12. Asus DRW-24B1ST-KIT 24x Internal DVD Burner + Nero 12 Essentials Burning Software + Sata Cable Kit (Obsolete in some ways but good to have at times as some persons still give work items on CD). 13. Backlit Gaming Mouse, Gaming Keyboard, Large Gaming Mouse Pad, PC Computer Gaming Headset with Microphone Combo, S101-BA Redragon RGB LED Backlit 104 Key Gaming Keyboard with Wrist Rest (No issues at all, good feel and responsiveness and mouse drivers are available on the website. The headset sounds good).

Better than a fully modular
Better than a fully modular, as the only non-modular cords are critical, so worth the cut in price for not getting fully modular. Great for the price, would recommend. Cords are a wee bit stiff as stated in other reviews, but its overall very good.

Works great for me
Great for gaming under load but on crossfire or sli may be a little low still so I’d recommend going to a 1000 watt if it’s for a crossfire or sli setup

Smooth and quiet
Got this to replace a Corsair 550 watt that may have gone bad, not really sure. My DIY desktop just semi-died one day, no graphics at all yet it seemed to kinda turn on - I saw/heard fans and some lights going on but didn't see anything on my monitors. Read that power supplies can start not giving off all their power so I bought this, installed it and now everything works again. It may have been malfunctioning simply from some processor cooling past that I found had dripped onto my MB which I immediately cleaned up with rubbing alcohol. Regardless, this is quieter than the previous unit so its a keeper even though I only need about 450 watts right now.

Amazon shipped bad product, refuses to replace, claim return date closed
AMAZON refuses to replace this faulty product. It was shipped in late May 2019. Return closed in June. Computer was not even built until July. Power supply failed. Corsair claims Amazon is point of sale and must handle return and replacement. Rohit in chat located God knows where says return date is closed. MY ADVICE IS NEVER BUY ELECTRONICS FROM AMAZON, AS YOU WILL HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK TO GET IT REPLACED IF IT FAILS. AMAZON DOES NOT HELP YOU, AMAZON IS LIKE THE OLD CABLE COMPANIES. I FELT HELPLESS AND FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I HAVE A FAULTY POWER SUPPLY AND AMAZON WILL NOT HELP AND CORSAIR SAYS AMAZON IS SUPPOSED TO HELP. DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS FROM AMAZON, EVER!

Quiet. Right amount of extras. Works
Made my power supply replacement a breeze and WAY quieter than the one I was replacing. How many times have you started a project like this only to have to stop because something obvious want included. Sometimes from lack of planning. Sometimes from a cheap manufacturer. This power supply came with everything I needed to swap it out in about 15-20 minutes, taking my time. Powering my 8 peripherals with included cables and a TON of extra space to spare. FWIW Only one video card cable so if you need 2 PCIEs you'll need to get a second one (for which there is an outlet). Just installed today so if I run into issues I'll update this review.

Good psu.
Though I think I went overboard on buying an 850 watt psu. Probably could have got by with a 650 watt psu. But for now it does good for what I ask of it.

This is a great psu all things considered and its easy to install. It isnt terribly priced for a modular psu and does a fine job for one of this level. I personally bought this psu to replace my BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro 850 in a hurry (during Covid-19 to boot) and im satisfied but it isnt my BeQuiet! of course. There are a lot less connection on the Corsair psu and at the price i'd expect a little more and certainly better quality cables than were included. Again this isnt a $240.00 psu but at the price a little more consideration should be had to overall product quality not just the psu itself. I would recommend this psu to someone on a tighter budget but wants a decent psu both quality and power wise. If you have the budget to get something higher end do it. Tl;dr: Pros -Not too pricey for what it is -Modular -Good choice if on a tighter budget for modular psu Cons -Don't buy it if you are expecting some on the same level as BeQuiet! -Could have more connections on it -Cables included are not great for the price you pay

hopefully this works once my CPU arrives. CPU power connector (4+4) pins didn't match, but the squares on the motherboard plugged into the hexagonal pins on the 4+4 connector. Will remove this rating if it is incompatible with my Z390 motherboard with i9-9900k processor once it gets here. Also forgot to mention. I am certain that this is a brand new unit, but there were 3 small scratches i don't really mind, but there's also a small dent on one side... Since the intake is on the outside for my case, its very visible under the LED lights.

Seriously a great product. For the price you can’t find many PSUs that are better. Powerful enough that you will not need to worry about not being able to power a video card and cpu. Super quiet in my particular PC build. Maybe overkill wattage for my PC but with a 10 year warranty I can upgrade parts down the line and not change of this PSU. I am feeling really good about my purchase.

I've never been disappointed by their 80 PLUS GOLD. None of them failed me, and they voltage follow the specs (i can't say that from other PSU i had. Most of them failed my PSU tester because they are a bit higher or lower) With the Corsair Gold, always within tolerance! A bit more expensive but it worth it.
