Burke Pharmaceuticals Skrub Bar Exfoliating Soap

I love this soap! It is a great exfoliating soap. I use it 3 times a week and have great results! Use as recommended for your skin type. Not for daily use. I will continue using this product.

I'm giving this soap a 4 star rating because it cleans well and leaves my skin feeling good. There is no lasting odor or weird residue. One bar lasted me exactly 3 weeks with daily use (1-2 times a day scrubbing front and back of torso). It is quite abrasive so if you have sensitive skin, tread lightly. I have not noticed it drying my skin out, which is something I was concerned about, but I also don't see any difference at all in my mild to moderate Seborrheic Keratoses - my spots look exactly as they did 3 weeks ago. I am trying one more bar and will see how things look in a few weeks.

This soap is somewhat abrasive, which removes the top layer of a skin growth. After about 6 weeks of use the keratosis on my face has faded to a lighter pink color, but if I don't use it consistently it begins to darken again. It has smoothed out the marks on my back, and they have faded a little bit, but hasn't truly removed anything. I'll keep using it to stay on top of things, but this soap is way too pricey for just OK results. I'll be searching for something more reasonably priced when this runs out.

Not sure how to review on the specifics of sheerness and warmth, but gave everything five stars. I have old and new scars and I have stared using this once a day in the shower. Once you apply water, you will see that the water mixed with the soap gets a good lather and exposes a mild, yet powerful exfoliation. I lathered the areas that have scars and let it sit for about a minute or two before rinsing it off, and patted dry like the directions stated on the box. After once use I noticed softer skin, and a noticeable difference in the scar appearance. I do recommend applying a moisturizer after as it can make the skin a little dry. I will continue to use this as this has been a great home remedy for scar/skin discoloration since everything is closed to due to Covid. Great product and very good price for the product. I’ve tried everything to reduce my skin discoloration and this is the fastest, most affective thing I’ve tried. You won’t be disappointed!!

So my hair was not agreeing with my head and started to fall out (40sM). Low and behold it was covering a huge "brown spot" on the back of my head. I panicked went to the Derm who said it's nothing, Seborrheic Keratosis, and then I came to Amazon to find a treatment. This Scrub bar is amazing. It took a spot that was raised, rough and half dollar sized (not that anyone knows how big a half dollar is now) and turned it into a small spot less than a dime in just a couple of months. I don't review much but If this can help one person then I'll feel good about it. Here is how I use it: 1. get head wet and wait for a couple of minutes; 2. Take the Skrub bar out its dry container (I keep it in the cardboard box); 3. wet the outside of the bar; 4. Polish off the brown spot. The bar just slowly sands off the spot with no pain. This bar is 100% worth the <$15. I would make the argument that they are undercharging for a product this effective and easy to use. And no, I have no affiliation with the company in any capacity, just love the product's results.

I’ve used the soap with every shower, for about 3 months now. As you can see in my before and after pics, there is absolutely no difference in my SKs. This soap has not done anything for them at all. I’m not sure how it’s supposed to work but it feels like a course sandpaper, actually, it feels like the bar is filled with tiny shards of glass. It’s uncomfortable to use, though not unbearable if it worked, which it didn’t for me. I have raised dark, smooth light, large & small SKs all over my trunk, and this soap has done nothing for them. I hate to leave a one star review for anything, and the bar itself is fine, but it simply didn’t do what it claims.

I love this soap. I approached it with a bit of skepticism. I have "old" skin and lots of keratoses on my face. I was tired of going to my dermatologist, being told they were keratoses, and then having him freeze them off. Lots of scabs, and they looked horrible. I thought I would try this soap. I'm using it twice a day, and it feels good, a little scratchy, I expected that, but I can see that the keratoses are getting way less flaky and my skin is looking better. I have very sensitive skin, and, for the most part, I cannot use many things on my face. So many products also affect my eyes. I am allergic, my eyes sting, and the lids swell up. So I shy away from so many products. I do not have any allergy problems with this soap.
