This is a very nice glass container surrounded by a useful rubber surface. It's very well-made and and feels like it will last a good long while. The rubber exterior is pleasure to grab ~ it's soft surface has just the right texture for that slight amount of friction. I keep my tumbler on my old wooden desk where I spend a great deal of time, and feel confident it will never spill or tip over. I never require a coaster. It's also well-designed and is quite attractive. The bottom of the thick glass is covered in smooth rubber. The measurements for the width and height of the straw, for those who are interested: width - 1cm/10mm (or 0.39370079"); height - 231.378mm (or 9.1093748"); might be useful to know if ordering a glass or any kind of replacement straw. I use this mainly for drinking room temperature water that comes from the local waterfall near my home. By holding 20oz of liquid it's ease of use encourages me to drink more water than I otherwise would ~ and I know that's a positive benefit for my health.

Aside from wishing this item came in a 24 ounce size, I can confirm this drinking cup/glass is the best quality item of this type I’ve ever had!! The top fits so securely that it doesn’t come off until it’s actively taken off — a REAL PLUS for an accident prone person. It’s permanent padding is fantastic for controlling condensation and temperature control, as well as breakage protection

I LOVE this cup! The design is beautiful & functional. No leaks when it’s tilted on the side, it only comes through the straw which is expected. It travels easily in a standard size cup holder. The rubber sleeve makes it easy to grip & help with the durability of it. I have other cups, but always reach for my Ello. I really only experience little condensation at the top, but never at the bottom where it’s leaving a ring on my table. For the price it is worth it, but I got mine during prime day & got a really good deal for 2.

Great glass tumbler that I use everyday. Durable and comfortable to hold while sipping water. However, I did not like the plastic straw it came with and although the lid has a very nice wood top and the silicone keeps it on tight, it is a very smelly lid until you let it air out for a few days. Even after washing the lid several times, by hand, with soap and water, the silicone on the lid would start making the water taste like rubber. So I let the lid sit out for a few days and now it's fine. I recommend you buy a glass straw for this tumbler to get the full effect of drinking clean water with no plastic taste. I recommend that Ello fix their manufacturing of the silicone on the lid. We shouldn't be having to air out the lid to get rid of that nasty rubber smell/taste. It would also be nice if the straw they provided was glass and not plastic.

I know everyone starts out by saying this, but I really don't ever write reviews. I received the coral one as a gift from a friend at work and loved it so much that I ordered 1 grey (already gifted) and 3 teal for other friends as gifts. I read the reviews and love these glasses so much that I thought it was deserving of an awesome (and positive) review. 1. The lid is wood, but it is coated with a protective sealant to make sure the wood is not permeable. With the possibility of mold growing based on other reviews, I hand-wash the lid and make sure to dry it as much as possible so I don't find it growing one day. The only way I can see it growing, though, is if the lid is negligently taken care of, or even put in the dishwasher. 2. The colors are SO vibrant, and even the grey was beautiful! I wish I had taken a photo of it. The only one I didn't order was the denim, since it seemed to be more purple-ish from the listing photos. 3. The glasses aren't insulated. The purpose of the silicone on the outside is the same as any other glass tumbler with a silicone wrap on it -- to make sure it's protected from bumps, bangs and [hopefully] drops. It is glass, though... So try not to do any of those things! 4. I have washed the cup and straw in the dishwasher but prefer to hand-wash the cup to keep it looking new, clean and to prevent any water from getting under the sleeve like other reviews have mentioned. Long story short, if you take care of your things, they will always stay nice. ...And I really like this glass!! I will definitely order more in the future and will update the review if anything changes, but it's been a month since I got my coral one and I'm still an obsessive everyday user today. Currently drinking my homemade iced coffee out of it. Cheers! :)

I love this tumbler. I like that it’s glass, so it’s easy to clean. It’s also wide enough that you can reach in there to clean if you don’t have a bottle brush. I love the silicone cover. It’s easy to grip and protects the glass, not to mention appealing. The wooden lid has faded, but that’s it. It still works perfectly. I would recommend.

Happy originally - seems well-made, heavy glass - but one night in the fridge and the lid curved up on one side to the point that the bamboo split. It’s still usable but doesn’t seal like it did before, now that the top doesn’t seal flat. Would not buy again.

I use this cup on a daily basis. It survives being dropped, kicker across the floor, or tipped over in a cup holder with very minimal spilling. The lid fits securely, but is not held in place with anything more than a rubberish ring, so some spilling is inevitable. I have used it for over a month, putting it in the dishwasher every day, and it still looks like new. The straw is also very thick with a wide opening, which makes it very easy to clean with a straw brush.

I bought this for my morning smoothies. I love the glass jar and wooden lid. Very nice design. Would recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised when i got this, it is alot nicer than i was expecting. Quality is great and i get compliments on it all the time. It holds lots and i really enjoy the grip material that they used. My one and only complaint about this container is that I was washing it and the lid must have been the last thing in the sink that i washed. Due to is being in the water for awhile the wood has actually warped slightly. It hasnt effected the use in anyway and is only slightly noticable when you look at it, but it is disappointing that it warped after the first use. Its not surprising due to the fact that it is wood and was obviously my bad for leaving it in the water for any length of time, just something to note for anyone considering buying to wash the lid first and do not let it stand in water. Otherwise overall a great product and i would definately buy again!

This is my new favourite tumbler! It's a good size, fits in my cup holders, seems very well made and durable. I like that it has a silicone sleeve, definitely gives the bottle a good place to grip, especially if there's condensation, and acts as a coaster. So far has been easy to clean. I did switch out the plastic straw for a glass straw. I definitely will be buying more in the future!

it looks beautiful and its very sturdy, however i washed it multiple times and i still feel like there is a smell to it. that’s its only bad thing.
