I just bought a £50 and £30 gift card for myself to pay for our yearly Google One family subscription. Both came through within several minutes. I was already logged into my Google account in my browse, so I clicked the Amazon link in the email which takes you to Amazons web site, clicked the redeem button and it goes to Google Play and confirms I want to add it to my account. Both added successfully, and the full £80 was available when I subscribed to Google One. Worked great.

UPDATE: ANOTHER VOUCHER INACCESSIBLE FOR NO APPARENT REASON - AVOID - GOOGLE PLAY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HOLD OF ANYONE TO HELP. WASTE OF MONEY!!!! Repeated attempts to redeem this on Google Play, together with me re-sending the gift (because it didn't work the first 10 times the code was tried!). The re-sent code did not work either, and it kept directing towards contacting some google support thing and sending in proof, and said that Google are busy and it could take WEEKS before they respond. Avoid Google Gift Cards like the plague - my son has had repeated trouble in past years when buying physical gift cards from the shop too - the codes don't seem to like to work. All in all, avoid getting ripped off, avoid buying Google Gift Cards from ALL sources (not just singling out Amazon), is my opinion on the matter! £10 wasted - nobody can be bothered to fiddle around trying to get Google to resolve the matter and sending them "proof". What is the point - this should be so simple! When I used to buy top up vouchers for my Vodafone many moons ago, I never used to have these problems with using the codes written on the purchased cards. I genuinely think this must be a Google problem. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole ever again.

Picked this up back in 2023 during a targeted promotion Amazon was running. Normally I wouldn’t have bought it, but I decided to give it a try. The code came through promptly by email and redeemed without any problems. Once added to my Google Play account, it just stays there until I spend it, with no expiry to worry about. Great for buying games and apps, and an ideal gift for any Android phone user. Worked exactly as expected.
