You truly don't need this if you have time to change the normal trash bags. But my baby peed and poops a lot so for me this is essential! Taking this trash out in the middle of the night while sleep deprived isn't so hard so that's a plus.

We LOVE these Dekor diaper pails! After having a few different models of the diaper genie that made it hard to fit diapers in, we needed a change and ended up trying dekor. It’s so much easier - with a wider opening, the ability to lock it ( so little hands don’t put other things in it), and a large refill wrap of bags, you can’t go wrong! Extra bonus that it fits less diapers so you change it more often and have less smell. And of course, these bags are perfect for it. With 3 babies in diapers we go through about a box every 2 months.

You know what? I like these. Easy to install (once you get familiar), decent scent guard, and sturdy. The only thing I could ask for would be a scented version.

I love the dekor system! We used it for cloth diapering our baby (no odors escape this thing, and I have a very strong sense of smell!) Once our child was potty-trained, we removed the trap door opening and continued to use it for trash. We now use it for the kitty litter clumps after cleaning the cat box in a 3rd story apartment. As long as the cat box itself is clean, no smell from the Dekor, and we don’t have to haul it down to the dumpster everyday! I love that instead of individual bags, it has a roll that ties at the bottom, they are stronger than they look and feel. 10 years later the bags have never broken, and you don’t waste much plastic if you want to remove something gross before the bag is full. There is a special safety cutter (kind of like a letter opening tool) inside the door, and you just cut of the length of bag you want and tie it off. It’s never too short or too long. Also, refills were cheaper per month than the diaper genie we originally Received, less plastic and controlled odors MUCH BETTER. Also, the diaper genie wouldn’t have doubled as a convenient trash and wouldn’t have worked for scooping cat litter clumps into because of the small circular opening.
