Hand Nibblers Great For Cutting Odd Shaped Holes In Thin Metal
I used to have a pair of hand nibblers just like these and lost them somewhere. They are great if you need to nibble or cut out a hole in thin metal to mount a switch or temperature controller. I used them recently to mount a rectangular shaped temperature controller in a small refrigerator i found and the original thermostat had gone bad in. Now it works great.

Awesome deal and fast shipping!
Product does an awesome job trimming exhaust and head gaskets from steel-reinforced gasket sheets. The material is regrettably impervious to my laser cutter, but I can stick a blank shipping label on the gasket sheet, and then cut the paper on the label with the laser, and peel the label away from everything but the finished gasket shape. This tool is excellent for those pesky inner radii/fillets, where I cannot quite reach with tin snips. I just get close to the line with the jilson shears, and then ON the line with these nibblers. I was skeptical about cutting curvatures with this, but it handles them very nicely, and turns out a very good OEM quality gasket. Just keep a large open box or cookie sheet at your feet to catch any metal shavings, and keep some fine needlenose pliers handy in case one of the shavings jams up the nibbler on the right side (opposite the "wedge" side that cuts the material. It happens every now and then, but just yank the piece out with the pliers and you are back in business.

Works.
These work ok. Do wish the had a rubber handle. After a while they will be hard to grip from perspiration.

Good nibbler
Affordable and effective nibbler. I use it on aluminum it doesn’t even slow it down on 1/16” aluminum sheet.

Worked well enough
Very handy tool for cutting out openings for equipment in a panel or box. I used it for hobby projects, for cutting rectangular openings for digital PID temp controllers and thermostats. Really a very handy tool. Used on tin metal project boxes. Have not tried it on thicker material. Allowed me to be more accurate than using a cutting wheel on a dremel. Occasionally gets jammed with the little metals 'shavings', so the nibbler doesn't spring back open but easy enough to clear with a screw driver. I could not find a source for replacement cutting edge, despite several attempts. Has worked fine now on a few uses.

the thousand and second use
now that the VA delivers hearing aid batteries in nearly adult proof containers, THIS IS THE PERFECT TOOL for nibbling through the welded plastic.

This nibbler does a decent job for a low priced tool
This nibbler works well on light gauge metals. It will easily cut aluminum up to 1/16" thick and probably a little more. But the jaws won't open far enough to cut much more (not to mention the fact that your hand would tire rapidly). I have cut 1/16" aluminum and, most recently, I used it to cut rectangular openings in 26ga steel siding. It worked well. The biggest problem is getting it back into position for the next cut. It's easier to do this in aluminum than it is in steel. It seems to work best to cut toward yourself. Keep it lubricated or it may jam.

Not bad, inexpensive.
This nibbler is a typical Chinese tool quality. Not bad for the price, but don’t use it too much.
