If you are milling your own flour, you know that hard red/white wheat is amazing for bread. But if you are trying to make cookies, cakes, biscuits, or pancakes, you need soft white wheat berries. They are an essential staple for any home baker aiming for a lighter, more tender crumb. Unlike the intense, nutty flavor of red wheat, soft white wheat is extremely mild, light, and slightly sweet. Between the bucket and the interior packing- there is no worry of bugs- you can store for quite a long time. The quality is outstanding- and we plan to buy again.

I started making my own bread a few months ago and then using a mill to make flour. I have bought several types of wheat berries from Wheatland and they all have been good quality with no debris mixed in. I have read a few posts on social media about other brands that aren't as clean and people have to sift through the berries before milling. Thankful I haven't had that problem with this company. Highly recommend.

Large square sealed bucket stacks and stores compactly to save space. Comfortable handle. Wheat berries are clean and robust. They grind nicely and germinate well. Makes full nutty tasting breads with nutrients.

I am very satisfied with these wheat berries… Well-packaged (in sealed Mylar bag, inside well-sealed bucket). Difficult to open the bucket, but I don’t hold it against them. Wheat berries were very fresh; no bugs. And my bread comes out excellent!!

Well with a shelf life of 25 years, I obviously bought it for preparedness, considering we have a president who would annihilate the world, rather than face his own truth—a pandora’s box of dark secrets. I felt the need to have have a stockpile for uncertain times ahead. I am happy with sealed mylar bagged grain in an airtight gallon. It came as described in product description. No problems with shipping & handling. I would buy another time.
