This light works very well for my intended purpose, to light a hallway that is very dark (pitch black) at night, but I need to warn people of one potential flaw. My hallway is empty but for a heater midway. I had put in two light sconces to either side of it, and wanted to put these two sensors for when we entered the hall, it would then light our way through, and turn off when we passed. It did this until I turned on the heater. The heat from the heater is enough to cause the lights to turn on for their fifteen seconds, then off then right back on, over and over for as long as the heater burns. While i live in Los Angeles and only use the heater for maybe six weeks of the year, they are useless to me for that long. You in northern regions need to remember to avoid heat vents and such when you place them or you'll run through AAA batteries fast!

I would have to agree with all of the reviewers on this product. These are excellent lamps. Definitely worth the money and where I’m using them where there’s no lighting. It lights up the area very well and there’s no issues with the motion. Sensor detecting motion and turning the lamps on when they are turned on using the motion sensor, you can of course use the other two settings which is grade 2, but I purchase some specifically for the area in my house where you are going down the stairs and there’s a little shelf but no lighting, so it lights up the area very well And makes it safe for people to go up and down the stairs. Highly recommend.

Had purchased these years ago and loved them. Took a chance again (there were reviews complaining of a mistake in manufacture, making it hard to put center battery in.) The problem has been fixed; these are exactly as they were years ago: box comes with tiny screwdriver for teeny screw on bottom. No big deal. They take AAA batteries, and you don't have to replace that screw, not needed. Motion detection is excellent. Even our dog seems to like when his light pops on! They stay on when there's motion, so easy to carry around, too. Light is gentle on your eyes, frosted, just right for night. 5 stars!

I bought this for a bathroom night light. My wall outlet is controlled by the light switch so I needed another option. The motion sensor is good. The light is soft and not to bright. Light is bright enough for a dark room. Light does not come on during the day and is reliable for sensing day and night. No more bright bathroom light in the middle of the night. I like the battery option so I can place it anywhere.

This is my second purchase. Hope can improve further to be more consistent at motion detection.
