Audiovox CCS100 and Rostra Cruise Control Replacement Switch Control Module

Rostra Tech Support will tell you that this switch is not compatible with their 250-1223 universal cruise control, but it actually works great with that unit. The switch does not come with wiring instructions but it hooks up just like the more expensive Rostra switch does: red to red, brown to red/brown, yellow to yellow, green to green, grey to parking light and black to ground. Quality seems about the same on both switches. The only down fall is that this switch is not ignition wired, so you need to remember to turn off the switch when leaving the vehicle. UPDATE: After hooking up the switch to the 250-1223, running the 4 amp fused red wire to a accessory lead instead of to the constant hot side of the brake switch will allow the switch to turn off with the key.

This is a simple easy to hook up switch. It seems to work on a Rostra cruise too. Same wire hook up. Another reviewer mentioned it so thank you it worked for me.

Worked to replace old worn out cruise control switches on a 1999 International 3800 school bus. See attached pictured for how they connect to the original switch sockets. Grey wire was not used, and black wire went to ground. I just crimped on a male blade connectors, looked at pcb of new switch, examined how the factory switches worked. Took and educated guess and its working great. I put several wraps of electrical tape on the sockets/connectors and stuffed them back in the dash.

It took me two years to figure out why it turned on as soon as I turned on the key. The Red and Brown wires are backwards. Treat Brown as red and red and brown and all works well.

Pretty easy to install. Had to guess on one of the wires. Directions not very clear. But the right size and look.

Did not receive a wiring diagram with it. Now I have to figure out what goes with what. Save the time and just get a high quality rostra switch.

The yellow and green wire were backwards, there was no instructions, and the resume button never worked.

Works like a champ. Minor pain to install(electrical side), but that's to be expected.
