Excellent
I bought this for my brother who was in the Navy. He is in his 70s and loves tinkering. this is the perfect gift for him. He said it was easy enough to put together but challenging enough to keep him entertained. I’m going to get him another one in a different design since he liked this one so much. And is great for gifts for all ages. The completed ship looks great.

Enjoyable kit from 85 year old kitter .
I really got stuck into this kit. What terrific engineering and thought. The quality is admirable. I am impressed with the sturdy results. Just be forewarned, carefully sand and wax when suggested. There are a lot of moving parts that require attention. Nice model

Over All A Nice Puzzle
I love the over all design and detail. I’m very happy with this product. I however could not get the mechanics to work but I also have the train model with Woodtrick and have the same problem. I have worked other wooden 3d puzzles from other brands with no issues so I think I just struggle with the rubberband power mechanisms both the yacht and the train are ran by this style.

A memorable ship captured in detail.
Lots of pieces, but true to the original ship. Took our time building it and results were very good…an amazing job capturing the essence of the original calypso which was a converted mine sweeper. The plans are clear and each detail helpful. Many extra pieces should one make an error. Worth the price and the effort to complete, the finished product is remarkable as was the original. Overall a pleasant experience, take your time with assembly and the final product will be worthy of display and examination of this legendary vessel.

Nice model, i did use glue
I took it a step further and painted the model, and put 1/16" sheets on the sides, and closed in the skeleton look, i didn't use the wheels or the winde up pieces, i made a stand for it and it looks great.
