This backpack has really changed the way I commute. It has compartments for everything. I often travel to sites or meetings requiring different resources and this backpack allows me to have everything with me in one bag, whether it’s a laptop or tablet, literature including leaflets and brochures, chargers, business cards or even a sample case i take everywhere. I was never convinced that a bag could actually make commuting and meeting preparation so much easier but this really does.

Fantastic bag. Really good quality materials and construction. Been using it all week (very wet weather) but all pockets totally waterproof. Layout is well considered with pockets and places for everything a commuter would want. Particularly like the layout for tech and papers, quick access pocket on the top and the glasses case.

I'd had three - relatively cheap compared to this one - laptop backpacks, all of them failing in various ways. On a couple of occasions it was the zip (a Dell-branded bag), on the others they just fell apart. I don't think I'm going to have that problem with the Gomatic. It's robustly built and so far showing no signs of wear after a few months of use. Some good points: * The variety of pockets are well thought out... somewhere for everything * The zipped lining that gives you some extra space when you need it (e.g. for overnight stuff) works well. It's nice to otherwise keep it smaller, but great to have the extra space on tap. * The padded spaces for laptop and tablet seem nicely robust. * The top pocket works really well for quick access to a passport and keys. * The magnetic side pockets for a bottle or umbrella are clever and work well. A couple of negatives: * There appears to be no strap that can easily link the bag to the handle of a trolley bag... seems like a bit of a missed opportunity (unless I've missed how you're supposed to do it) * The elasticated device for accessing keys is OK, but doesn't to my mind have a natural place in the bag. Seems like a bit of an afterthought. Overall, I was expecting great things for a bag 5 or 6 times more expensive than what I was used to. On balance it delivers well.

For me the best thing was how comfortable it is to wear - I have restricted movement in both shoulders and usually find backpacks really difficult to put on, take off and sit on my shoulders without weighing down on them...the Gomatic is the first backpack that is easy for me to manoeuvre without causing pain AND sits really comfortably on my shoulders - with a weekend's worth of stuff neatly packed inside. Very impressed with how much I could fit in - and I liked that even using the expanding zip, the backpack does not look bulky. Yes it is expensive but it is a real pleasure to use because it sits so comfortably. The inside compartments are well thought out and the detail in the finish is really good.

Internal organisation is really good, great if you're carrying lots of smaller pieces, but this does compromise the space if you just want to carry one large item. There is, however, a major flaw in the water resistance. Any serious rain enters through the top pocket zip, and once there is free to drip down into the main storage area, and mostly in the rear organiser where people would naturally put their laptop or tablet. A great bag for a sunny day, but beware. Not the premium product the price would imply...

Good expanding capability, lots of pockets to keep you organised. The laptop and tablet pockets are particularly good. Both the main compartment and the front one opens right out which is so useful. The zips are a little sticky round the bends of the main compartment and the key chain is in the main compartment instead of the top one so not helpful

Very well thought out with all the pockets I need and in the right place! Especially easy to access a laptop and documents from the top via a zipped fold out section. If I could improve it I would make it lighter and have a removable ‘business document etc’ section. This would make it more flexible for travel purposes. Otherwise a great stylish unit!

First impression for the backpack is very good! It has excellent quality, sturdy materials and it is very well designed! Perfect for the office and for the dozens of gadgets that I carry around.

Der Gomatic Backpack kam eigentlich nur als Vergleich für einen anderen sehr guten Rucksack zu einem Drittel des Preises. Aber tatsächlich ist es so, wenn man den Gomatic als "Officenomade" befüllt, dann merkt man erst die Defizite, die andere Konzepte haben. Die Taschen sind exakt an die Bedürfnisse der Office Pendler ausgerichtet. Für jedes Utensil hat man eine Tasche, einen Platz und benötigt keine 1000 Kleinsttaschen, in denen das Zubehör x oder Y ist. Die Verarbeitung ist exzellent. Daneben sah die Befüllung des Alternativrucksacks so bescheiden aus. Gerade auch wenn man Notebook, iPad und manchmal noch eine externe Tastatur dabei hat, ist der Gomatic die ausgezeichnete Wahl, alle Geräte gut zu schützen. Ich habe schweren Herzens die 200 EUR plus bezahlt, aber BEREUT habe ich es nicht.

My boyfriend, who has a thousand gadgets, but also likes dressing in style, had put his eyes exactly on this backpack (could not find one that is similar in functionality, but lower price). So I secretly bought it for him as a Christmas gift. He was very happy, and now, after nearly three months of using it (sometimes travelling for work to another city), is still absolutely happy with it - in terms of functionality, sturdiness and stylish look.
