Very similar to what we got in Iceland. Tastes great. Dog loves when we share. Can’t beat it for the price compared to other dried fish products.

As a rule. I do not submit negative reviews, but this product has earned special treatment. I have never tasted a worse "snack" in my life. I love fish. I love the taste of fish. I was not hesitant about trying this product as a fish-based snack, And it is horrible. The best thing I could say about the taste is that it is weak and non-offensive. But the mouth feel! Ugh! The wafers quickly turn from a rice cake-like consistency to a fibrous mass of chewy, vaguely fish-flavored pulp. One mouthful and the bag was thrown out. This ain't your father's fish snack, and it shouldn't be yours either.

These are great for people with food allergies or histamine intolerance. They were exactly what I needed for backpacking. Note, they aren’t flavored. You’ve got to do that yourself. I added them to rice curry and that was good. Tried them with mashed potatoes and that was…interesting but edible after a day hiking. They also weren’t bad straight out of the package for lunches/my second dinner of mashed potatoes. NOT chewy or tough.

The texture and flavor are exactly what I'd expect from freeze-dried cod. The water removal leaves the 'chips' with a concentrated fishy flavor that most people will not enjoy, but I liked it and the product contains gobs of protein. It was particularly good with green tea but, for some reason, white wine upped the fishy flavor. It's definitely worth trying if you're a fish afficionado, but if you're just looking for the very best way to enjoy cod, that is still battered and deep-fried, preferably in an all-you-can-eat situation. This company has numerous other products - not all seafood - that I will try based on the quality of this product.

I normally buy hardfiskr which is so different. This had no flavor, and I had to salt them and flavor them. I preferred to eat them with just butter but these needed all kinds of seasoning to enjoy. Bag is too small, cost was too high for no flavor.

A very tasty treat just way too expesive! @ 3-4 dollars per ounce I would buy more. I love the taste. A nice healthy snack.

While I realize this may not be "for" everyone, I personally love this crunchy deliciousness. I discovered this snack while on a trip to Iceland. I bought about half a dozen more bags to take home. I went to Norway last year and bought another half a dozen bags to take home since I didn't think I would be able to find it here in the US. I was happy to find it online! I love seafood and sushi. This is the perfect snack for me. My cats like it when I share. For those people complaining about the taste or the smell...it's literally fish. What did you expect? If you want to have something different, give this a try. It's a healthy, tasty alternative to red meat jerky.

Smell is strong, but it tastes great! Highly recommend for lightweight protein
