Absolutely in love with Younhan 20A/12V Fully Automated Battery Charger! It is a lifesaver for those who need a powerful, reliable, and intelligent charger, especially for larger vehicles, such as SUV, truck during the cold weather and deal marine batteries with ease. it’s strong charging performance, winter optimization, and long-term maintenance capabilities make it unique and very safe since its includes multiple built-in protections that reduce the risk of damage to both the battery and the charger. Charging capacity is much more powerful than typical 5A or 10A maintainers which allows to reduce charging time for deeply discharged batteries as well as charging large car batteries faster. The size is perfect and can be easily stored inside the vehicle during the day and takes less space in garage/ closet. The Winter Mode is particularly useful for users in cold climates snd adjusts voltage automatically for cold conditions. It is easy to use and display. Once the battery reaches full charge, the Younhan charger automatically switches to float/maintenance mode. Providing service to AAA members, I use it daily and very satisfied with the quality and price!

Easy to uses and works great

Extremely easy to use. Lightweight. Self-cooled and still reasonably quiet. It also measures ambient temperature, to help manage battery charging rates (cold conditions == slower charging rates required). We have a high confidence in this unit; it does indeed seem reliable. We needed a battery charger that was compatible with an AGM battery. Per the battery’s manufacturer, our older charger might not have been good/healthy for the battery, noting that the voltage outputs from ‘older’ chargers (the big, heavy, can ones that some people have used for years and that we’d inherited from our parents) might risk damaging something (due to the potential for excessive output voltage delivery) and that AGM batteries, at a within-sensitivity-spec managed voltage can accept higher amperage charging and charge at a faster rate. Plugged this unit in to give it a try and just become familiar with it. That took only a few seconds to get comfortable with it, and the manual (which does take a few minutes to read) provides very clear information about the deeper details (of what the charger’s indicator’s abbreviations mean and what to expect from each of the selectable cycles). Tried a charging cycle on the battery and figured that it probably had a bad cell and had failed. Our battery tester didn’t see enough energy stored inside of the battery and would not yet give an official “Replace” indication; instead, it asked to charge it more so that it could fully test. So: Attempted a Repair cycle on it using this charger (though the instructions said fairly clearly that a bad cell inside of the battery would thwart its efforts). Impressively, upon completion of the Repair run, the battery was then able to absorb enough energy to get a “NoGo / Replace this battery” indication officially from our testing device. Replaced the battery (installed a new one), then used this AGM-ready charger to bring the new battery from ~85% charged up to fully-charged. We liked very much that this charger unit is versatile enough to perform Repair attempts, charge batteries straight-out, that it can handle Standard, AGM, LiFePO, Gel, and others, and that it can be expected to automatically regulate the proper voltage for output within specifications and vary amperage output based on ambient temperature and how rapidly it expects that the battery can absorb the energy. .:.Our confidence/trust in this unit is very high. Its performance is exceptionally nice. We love how compact it is, especially as compared with our older ones, and also how lightweight it is. And that it’s self-cooled (with its built-in cooling fan) and that it is impressively easy to use. Also that, after its charging cycles, the charger runs a testing process to confirm that the process went well.
